Another virgin seat question

Hello,

Me and DH have requested certain seats for our upcoming trip.

My travel agent got back to me and said we were on seat x and y.

so is this offical or are we still likely to not get the seats we want?

We fly out in 5 weeks?

Seat x and y, that does not sound right, it is usually a number and then the seat letter in that row between a and k

I think x and y are the pilots seats


For economy the seats in a 747 are referenced as A to K.
So across the plane it would be:

ABC DEFG HJK

At the rear of the plane it changes due to the plane narrowing:

AC DEFG HK

You should be able to log onto the Virgin Atlantic website and look at 'manage my flight' and see your booking and check your seats.

I couldn't remember the seat numbers we were given so I just used an example...i.e. X AND Y...don't worry I won't be the pilot!!!

They will try to give you those seats but sitting children with parents etc takes priority.

See now this is what I'm most worried about for when we go..

Because I am absoloutly petrified (it's not natural to be hundreds of feet above ground and I havn't really flown since I was 2 excdept to scotland once with my mum holding my hand the whole 40 mins lol), if I couldn't sit next to DBF I'd probably either cry the whole way or freak out an refuse to get on lol...

If I was you I would arrive at the airport with plenty of time to spare. Check-in around the 3 hours prior to your flight time, there is lots to do at the airport to keep you busy!And with the new security checks it takes a while to get through to the departure lounge anyway. If you arrive nice and early and explain to the check-in staff the you're a worried flyer I am sure that they will be very sympathetic and make a note on there system that you need to be seated with your family. I really wouldnt worry to much about it though!! It is not very often that once people have checked in and been issued there boarding pass that they will change there seat. I hope that this helps.
