Good Morning!!

So it sounds like all of Moms had a nice day. I went to church and then to my DD Beckys for a wonderful brunch! Yum yum! She made the best baked french toast, along with bacon, sausage, eggs, potatoes, strawberries, and I made some cranberry orange scones. No dieting that day for sure!!!

Shawna, how are the overcoats doing? Any pics perchance of them?

Pix, the DL stuff looks really cute. I agrree with you about the shorts. I think they are really cute, but too short for me. The t-shirt is cute, but probably too young looking for me.

Today, I am sewing another apron for my SIL. I already have two made for my sisters. I'm going to give them to them when we all get together for our annual Sisters and Mom trip coming up in a couple of weeks. (I can't remember if I told you guys this or not. If I am repeating myself so sorry!)

My ears are pierced and I have permanent eyeliner and eyebrows. That is my extent on the tatoos! Otherwise, I don't care for them either. On other people fine, on me....no.

why did the dis freeze up on me while people are here?

No pictures of the overcoats yet. I'm waiting for the yellow material to come in. Should be here today or tomorrow. I also have to make a dress for a hairspray costume. 4 lyrical dresses and shoe/leg covers for another costume plus put the fringe on the leos for "my favorite son"

So today I am going to get a humidifier. I dont know why we always buy these humidifiers that stop working. Some of my friends use theirs full time in the winter but we dont and I feel like they are disposable. Seriously, we cant find one that lasts more than a year and we only use them a few nights. Not sure what we are doing wrong.

I know. I just realized this morning that the recital is coming up quick and I'm terrified. June 2. I need to get the hairspray costume out of the way today. No time for illness! The lyrical costume will be made out of Jalie pattern 2674 view A. It will be all white. Very simple. Its an additional dance for a family that lost their newborn baby sister a few months ago so this dance is a tribute to the baby. The whole family, all 6 kids, all dance at the studio and the boys will wear a white suite and the girls will wear this. They wanted to do this dance for their mom. I think we will all be crying.

Good Morning all!

We are all sick here with a nasty cough. I just wish this last week of school were out so I didnt have to worry about that.

How was everyone's mothers day? Mine was spent in PJ's doing nothing. Oh, we played pixar monopoly. That was fun and then I wanted to play the magic kingdom game but everyone was gamed out. Monopoly lasts forever. In fact my husband bankrupted himself just to get out of the game. He could have played longer but he wanted to end his misery. After that it unraveled quickly.

I think if Jeff doesn't have a job soon we are going to head up to dizzy's place so we dont have to pay our electric bill. We'll just pitch a tent outside her house! That would be funny!

Actually I am welcoming the heat right now because I think much of our illness stems from allergies so if we can burn some of this pollen off then we will be good to go.

Pix, those tote bags are so cute. I'm thinking they would not be hard to make either if one (one being me) wanted to copy it and make it. Shhhh. I remember all of the raw edged tote bags with the mickey heads on them and thought that would be the easiest thing to make. Cute stuff though! Makes me want to shop at World of Disney right now! With what money I dont know but it doesnt matter!

Oh, I remember those bags... I never tried to make one but I wanted to.

That is a tough one if you didn't actually like the series. I will tell you that you have to have absolutely no knowledge of Star Trek to enjoy the movie - but if you already didn't like it, I dunno.

I thought this movie did give it more of a relevance - an actual purpose for why the people exist, as well as a more "real" feel to it. This is also coming from someone who grew up watching the 60's series over and over again

I had to page back - I thought I read this post - but happened to see my name and pitching tent - so figured I should pay more attention . I sure do not miss those summer time AC bills - we had a month that we owed $500 and we were not even living in the house

OUCH! Summer bills stink! Luckily ours dont go THAT high but they go high enough for our size house. I'm dreading the next bill. I turn it up during the day but with Jeff home he hates the heat so he wants it low. Right now we cant afford for it to be too low all the time. yuck!

I don't even know what movies are out right now. We haven't really been watching TV too much lately, we're still busy fixing up the house. And we're still waiting for the couches we ordered like 4 weeks ago.
