Good morning ladies. Just about ready to go grab some lunch. I've been brown bagging it most of the time, so today as a treat I'm going to grab a humongous, hurking, hugical, oil and condiment dripping cheeseburger! AND I'M GOING TO HAVE FRENCH FRIES WITH IT!!!! Might even order a shake too!

Hi Alex! We miss ya! But I know how busy life can get, especially during Little League season. We sort of breathed a sigh of relief when DS told us he didn't want to play this year.

Oh and here's a Public Service Announcement.

I ran across this frugal safety tip the other day...if you are ever worried about being in a parking lot or strange place by yourself. Don't bother spending the money on a can of mace or pepper spray. Just carry a can of Wasp/Bee spray. Apparently it shoots like 50 feet at high velocity and the chemicals are even worse in someone's face than pepper spray. I thought it was a great idea.

See, this movie is just a "chick flick" to guys. Well technically it is considering all boyfriend's momentarily disappear once all eyes are fixated on Zac Effron!

I booked our cruise yesterday! I'm so excited! We are doing the 4 day to Ensenada out of San Diego. So far it's DBF and I, his sister and her husband and their grandma and her sister. We only paid $199 + tax each. Way good deal, I think.

Wow! That's an awesome deal! How exciting!! My dad had a ton of frequent flyer miles and he was able to book free air fare for our entire family to go on a cruise to Norwegian Crusie Line. I'm not sure what happened but they said it was not confirmed fast enough and we lost the deal We are planning another trip but I'm not sure of the details yet. My older cousin is thinking of renting a beach house in NC and having our family fly out there. She said it's beautiful out there and lots of fun. She's still looking into a nice beach house and I'm not sure of the details yet. Our family schedules are all crazy and it's hard to get us all together.

My older guy cousin (the photographer) is having a baby! His wife is pregnant...3 months I believe. The baby is due in October. I'm really happy for them. I messaged him and said congrats and he asked me if I was ready to be an aunt to another child (Emilee is his sister's DD). I said: "Sure, why not? But I think you should know that I don't do diapers!"

Hi Michele. Welcome! Come on in, the door's always open. Of course we may or may not be home. But if you hang out long enough someone will always show up.

I would LOVE to go on a cruise!! We dream of doing a Disney Cruise... But with all these kids I dont think we ever will. Unless we leave them home.

Beware, that can get very expensive. Remember my first cruise? Just me and my sister, leave the hubbys & kids home. Then 2 months later it was me and the kids on a Bahamas cruise. Now the kids have informed me they want to fly to the Bahamas and stay at the Atlantis next year. What seems like a simple idea suddenly gets blown into a $$$$$$ vacation spanning several years.

I believe I am having a midlife crisis. I have this overwhelming desire to sell the house, get rid of all my belongings, get a tiny motorhome and travel. I have no idea where I want to go, how long I want to be gone. I just want to travel and see places, meet new people, hike on trails.

But I know I must be a responsible mother and that must wait until the kids are grown and gone. Seven more years!! You know I spent the first 20 years of my adult life doing what I thought I was supposed to do...get married, raise kids, be responsible, all that stuff.

I don't know if it's my age or how cancer changed my way of thinking. But I want to soar like a bird, I want to dance in the rain, I want to lay out and watch the falling stars, ride my bike down the middle of the road....I love my family and it's not that I want to desert them or anything. As a matter of fact I would prefer that they come along with me if they want.

Have I lost my mind?

I was born in Garden Grove, but we moved to WA when I was 5. However, my grandparents lived in Anaheim, so my sister & I used to just about live at DL because we spent every summer with them. Back in the good old days. They used to drop us off at the front gate (back when you could drive right up to the front gate), we carefully rationed out our ticket booklets, had to meet them for dinner at the DL Hotel so they could check up on us, then we stayed until closing. When the fireworks started my grandfather would drive over to pick us up.
