Where's Staley?? I found a deal ( I think it's a deal??) on the Moby wrap she wanted. 50% off it would be $28 shipped.

Good Morning Hyenas!

This morning I scraped snow off of my windshield and back window of my car. I couldn't believe how much ice there was. I look over at my bf's car and he didn't have any. :sad2:

DIZZY!! How are you? I miss you! I went to Kohl's last night and thought of you. :teeth: They had a lot of merchandise on sale and they close at midnight. :thumbsup2 I also did a Target run to get more wrapping paper.

Most stores are open late this month but for some reason, my local Walmart is not open late. :confused3 Oh well.

*Sarah-I'm sorry your DBF is stuck due to the snow. I hope he makes it back today. :flower3:

So are all you hyenas finished with your Xmas shopping? :santa:

Hey Pix - I definitely miss you guys too :goodvibes All is good - kind of hectic - but good. I think my shopping is done, I hope, ok, not really sure, but should be close enough :lmao:

I'm trying to remember if I have any gift wrap. It's in a closet.. somewhere.. umm but not sure which one and what I actually have.. URGH!

Can I just say Santa ran out and hand it to them in plastic bag? :rolleyes1

Glad to hear you are well :goodvibes: That's awesome that you are done with your Christmas shopping :yay:

I aked my mom what should I birng for dinner.. she gave me her plan.. besides a bottle of TUMS what should I bring? :lmao: :lmao:

We have ham and augratin potato mix, yams (canned) small shrimp tray, pickled herring, blueberry and apple pie, rolls, but didn't plan a vegtable dish of any kind. Got some club crackers, and cheddar cheese also. A jug of apple juice and maybe will make some muffins using a spice cake mix and a can of pumpkin, may add some chopped nuts if I find any in the cupboards. Only candy I bought was some coated pretzels......

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

Oh that was fun!

I tried my name.. of course Goofy said "our special guest" instead of Bernice. Darn unpopular name strikes again. :snooty:

:lmao: :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl: :goodvibes

That's what they said for my mom's name too.

We FINALLY got the storm. They have been advertising it all week - said we could get 3 feet :cold: but all it did all week was rain  . Finally though - this morning - *S*N*O*W* - so snow day for the kids, I got out of working all day today :rolleyes1 and now I get to catch up on :laundy: :lmao:

Hi Dizzy, Hi Pix!

Well taking a look at the National Weather Service forecast it looks like we just might have a white Christmas. So how bizarre is this for weather here! We're supposed to be 45 and rain, that's the rule here!:lmao:

http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClic...6328125&site=pqr&smap=1&marine=0&unit=0&lg=en

I truly believe that Bernice has put some sort of a hex on us and sent the MN weather to us. I've lived here for over 40 years and we've never had snow for weeks on end and cold like this for weeks. It's just wacko, bizzaro! We usually get snow for maybe 2-3 days at the most. Well those polar ice caps might be melting, but apparently they've relocated to my house.
Frelan and I were tlaking about that.. We have NEVER seen it stay so cold and snowy for so long. I LOVE it. But then... I dont have anywhere to go. :rolleyes1 :lmao:

I was hoping for school today.. Alex has the next two weeks off, and I really want him to get out of the house for a bit so the kids get a break from each other. And I get a break from them being loud. :rolleyes1

I am freaking out a bit wiht this break coming up. 2 weeks. The four of us. :scared1: We have NEVER had 2 whole weeks at home just the four of us. I dont see how we are all going to live through this.

Thanks for the link for that moby!! I am going to check it out.

For your family's sake, please hide the sporks :scared1:

I bought a cute basket from Michael's Arts and Crafts that was 60% off. I also got a cellphane bag for the basket and some raffia ribbon. I'm going to brave Cost Plus World Market to find some goodies. This is a present to my bf's mom and his family for Christmas.

*Sarah- Glad your DBF could make it back! :goodvibes

Good evening, hyenas!

we have lots of snow here, and the boys had a blast sledding at the local park today. i brought my camera along and took photos, then used them to order Christmas cards from costco once we got home. :thumbsup2

the cards will be ready to pick up tomorrow... assuming i can get to the store tomorrow. :rotfl:

i poked around a bit online to see if i could get a bit more christmas shopping done, but didn't find anything. guess i'll keep looking, and worst case, drag the boys to the mall next week.

dh says the school district has already declared a closure for tomorrow (kids have been out of school since wed.) so we'll be home for another 2.5 weeks together. i'd hoped to get a bit more done before the boys were home, but guess that's not going to happen. c'est la vie. :confused3

I went to work this morning.

My car went to work...sideways at least part of the way.

I arrived at work and pulled the car seat out of my rear.

I came home from work this evening.

My car did not come home...it's sitting at the bottom of the hill.

I called my bro and had him come down the hill and pick me up.

We have the Arctic air coming down from the north and the remnants of a typhoon headed this way on Saturday. They are now forecasting 6+ inches of snow on Saturday for downtown Portland. Which probably means 10 inches for us, which means we'll have about 2 feet of snow by the time this thing is over.:scared1:

How dreadful! :scared1: I'm glad you are okay and I hope you get your car back safely.
