Hello Hyenas! Happy Friday! :yay:

I have had a small pre-lit tree that I got from Target 3 years ago. The lights still work and have not died once. I'm actually quite surprised! :rotfl: It came with decorations and I stuck a Christmas Mickey antenna ball that I got a few years ago and stuck it at the top of the tree. I had 3 hello kitty keychains that I got from the $1 section of Target and stuck it on there too. I will take a pic and show you guys later. :)

I bought a yummy soap and shampoo set (works as both) from Nordstrom. It's made by Philosophy and smells so good! The scents are Snickerdoodle, Oatmeal Raisin, Sugar Cookie and Chocolate Chip. I wish they were edible! :lmao:

My grandma (dad's side) is not feeling well. I will take her to the doctor's this afternoon. She's been really stressed out because her housekeeper quit last weekend (while I was leaving DL). Apparently she gave my grandma a 1 month notice and she didn't take it seriously or she forgot about it and she started crying. I know my grandma is difficult but I do feel bad for her....she has never learned how to take care of herself and do things for herself. When my grandpa was in the hospital he had the housekeeper promise to take care of my grandma. She promised him and he closed his eyes shortly afterwards and passed away. Now that the housekeeper is gone I'm not sure what to think.

My parents are on a business trip and my mom is coming back today. She is going to be exhausted and busy this weekend (my little sister has a swim competition on Sat and Sun). She asked me to have the housekeeper call her on Sunday evening so we will see how that goes. :(

ok, kids, everybody seems to be in bed early. and that's where i should be, seeing as how i have to get out of bed at something like 4 am. :headache:

so good night, and i will hopefully have lots to talk about when i return. i'm off to see mickey in the morning! :yay: :mickeybar

Have a great time Alex!! Yay!! :dance3: :cheer2:

hmm, never heard of it.. but I'm not a big movie fan. I will have to ask hubby, that is his domain.

Adding: ahh, now I see 1976-- I was too young to watch it at the time.
Read the IMDb .. hmmm will have to look for it.

Warning, that is NOT a family picture. It has a LOT of violence, and shows child prostitiution (jodie foster) in a rather grim story.

The main character, slowly goes nuts and ends up shooting a bunch of people!

I read the synopsis.. yah.. not a family film :scared:

Luckily I have teenagers, they disappear to friends on weekends.

Sounds like exactly the sort of movie I would avoid and exactly the sort of movie that my teenager would love.:lmao: She watches some of the most horrific movies that I have ever seen. Every time I say something she just looks at me and say's "Mom, you do know it's not real, it's just a movie, this is just for entertainment".

So I pretty much let her watch whatever she wants. As long as I don't have to watch it also!:lmao:

DH is working some oddball hours today...

Monday - Thursday 7:30am-4:30pm
Friday 2pm - ???
Saturday 7:30am - 4:30pm
Sunday - off
Monday - 7:30am - 4:30pm

I'm pretty sure they threw in a 6 day work week and a swing shift in the middle of things to get rid of the guys that really don't want to work railroad hours. There are 11 guys in his training class. DH is betting that 4-5 of them will quit before the 19 week training period is up.

WHAT??!! I have the whole evening to chat and nobody's here?:goodvibes

Bored, nothing to do...well except housework and that just doesn't even sound like fun.

I'm here now.

I was chatting with my DNs on messenger, J thrown in to the mess on the laptop. It was fun to tease the nephews about their baby days.

DNtheMarine tm was suppose to be sleeping, it was 3 am for him when we first started chatting. He could hear artillery fire in the distance :worried: not close enough to be a concern.

He doesn't sleep well, never did. He finally settled and went off to sleep for a few hours before he had to a convoy drive.

He misses Taco Bell, wants snickers and cheeze-its. I teased he needs benefiber too-- MRE's are not friendly to the gut :lmao:
And he misses playing video games...his PSP got stolen, can't help him with that. YIKES a litel too pricey to send in the mail.
Talked about birthdays-- his birthday , my oldest DN, and oldest DN's dad.. all in the same month 4th, 5th and 6th. Oldest DN was saying he finally can be legal to drink, but doesn't plan to anyway. Telling us he's the last pure one of the family-- oh please!

Fun and silly conversation to pass the time. Gives me a chance to know my other DN a little more too.
I didn't really know them as kidlets, took care of them as babies on occasion and then we all moved in different directions. I was still in high school when the first one was born.

Hubby's off with "the guys".

:goodvibes
He's never done that before.. well maybe once when he worked at a gas station.
It's nice to see him connecting with co workers.

I'm hungry, I forgot to eat dinner. See what happens when my family is gone?

Justin fed himself. .. didn't make me thing HMMPH :snooty:
