Good morning my lovely ladies!!

hubbies work is ALL bonkers right now. They are closing the shop the week of Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years.. Oh boy. He is only getting paid for 6 of the 15 days. The rest he can use PTO, OR... they have this thing with unemployment... Where they get unemployment for part of the time they miss. BUT... There is a chance there will be a little bit of work during that time. Not enough for the whole shop, but enough for a couple of the guys. I dont know.. I guess we will wait and see what happens. Stupid Boeing.

I made a very quick fakey Beef and Broccoli Lo Mein. I was eh about it, E had numerous servings, J gave it the second helping approval .. and N took one look and



... had a hot dog instead.

It's like they said: Here have a Merry we are screwing with your life Christmas right? Hard to plan finances on such a short notice, what if someone doesn't have any PTO sotred up?

My BIL feels like he is lucky to have a job right now, they did a lay off saying it was a slow down at work.. when in actually they just held a bunch of orders and got rid of people they didn't like.
Week after the layoff they had everyone doing mandatory overtime nad took on a bunch more temps.

The company might get sued, some of the workers they laid off were close to retirement age.. Crappy management all around, there are better ways to fire staff that are not doing a good job.. you don't get rid of a protected class of people at a drop of the hat and expect to get away with it.

It's just a matter of time, chances are the owners will drive the business into the ground.. leaving BIL without a job.

I woke this morning around 5:00 with a stomach ache, but managed to get back to sleep. I felt better when I got up, but worse again after eating an English muffin.

It got better again, and we had plans for the day, so I ate the McDonald's fruit & yogurt dip for lunch, and then movie theater popcorn and water. Fortunately I felt fine, but now am feeling yucky again... and hungry!
