I'M HERE!!!!

Had a busy couple of days at work with our manager meeting. I was just reading your post above about the AP nightmare. That's the sort of stuff I have to deal with almost every day. It's typical for a large company and it's exactly why my company is now trying to only deal with medium or small size companies if at all possible.

We had our airplane insurance with AIG and we pulled that. My boss was so mad about their expensive party after the bailout. About once a week we get a form letter from AIG telling us how wonderful their company is, how stable they are, how many assets they have, etc...

That's the problem with large companies...we cancelled our policy from them 2 months ago and they still haven't figured it out!:lmao: They still refer to us as customers and use our old policy number.:rotfl2:

whoops, sorry i disappeared, sam. dh put in the ironman dvd, so we're watching. interesting so far, but i don't really know the story from the comics, so i have to pay closer attention or get lost quickly. ;)

dang what is with my shift key? i have to press it really hard to get it to work right. :sad2:

i meant to call back the credit card folks to make sure that transaction was cancelled; then i'll try again.

Hubby came home with a signed contract and a pile of papers to fillout. grumble grumble.... the district chose two plans that are equally confusing and not sure what it the better of the two for our situation.

We're going to ask the dialysis social worker to help..might as well give her something to do .

Good afternoon, hyenas!
Weirdness! The sun was out a bit ago!

Of course it's gone now; it's that time of year where if you blink, you missed it.

I took the little monkey to a classmate's birthday party this morning. Birthday girl is an itty bitty, adorable little thing who just turned three. There were a few kids I didn't recognize (thought maybe some were neighbors or friends of the birthday family), and it turned out some were kids from class that I just hadn't seen before.

It was nice to meet a few more of the parents whose kids are in DS' class. DS played with one boy at the outset of the fun, so I chatted with his mom for awhile; during the food portion toward the end, I chatted with another mom whose son was seated next to DS... or rather was under the table but was supposed to be seated next to DS. Her reaction was the same as mine when DS does that, she kept calling him by his first and middle names and telling him to get out. I tried not to laugh, but nearly lost the battle when she said, "See [DS4]? He's using good manners, please behave like [DS4]." Nobody has ever said that about DS4 before! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

While DS4 and I were at the party, DH took DS8 to swim class. DH said this was the week they begin evaluations for the kids' progress reports at the end of the session. The instructor was standing in front of DH and he was able to see how she was marking the skills for the kids in that class. He said DS8 did very well, almost all "X"es (mastered skill), just a few "/" (work in progress.)

He seems to be progressing rapidly now. When I was signing him up for this class, the swim director said to expect DS to be in that class for awhile, even for a whole year, because they learn so many skills in that class. So we're a bit surprised he's doing so well! I think one more session in that class and he'll be ready to move up again! :yay:

I still need to muddle through my AP mess, I'll check on the credit card in a sec. Will be happy to have those APs purchased and printed, one more big step in getting ready for our trip! I still can't quite believe we're going! :lovestruc

My neighbor friend emailed me this morning to ask when I wanted to/could attend a showing of the Twilight movie!

So I just checked with DH, and called her. We're going at 5:00 today! I can't wait! :woohoo:

Where is everyone???

My bf and I were planning to watch Bolt in 3-D today but we ended up having a change of plan. We will try to watch it tomorrow instead. My bf missed 2 hrs of work earlier in the week and was told that he needs to make it up. He had to work 2 hrs this evening, which wasn't bad.

In the afternoon we went to a motorcycle shop (bf wanted to check out some gloves), did aTarget run, then I grabbed some Carl's Jr, rented Kung Pao Panda from the Red Box machine and headed home. I got to spend time reading a book and then later in the evening I dropped my bf off at his work. I had some errands I needed to run so I was able to kill time until I had to pick up my bf. I went to Nordstrom to exchange a Clinique item. I didn't know they had a bonus offer so I returned the item and then bought another item I wanted (which was equal in price) and got the free gift. :goodvibes I got their new all about eyes rich cream. I have the regular all about eyes and it works great. I was told that this new rich formula hydrates and is supposed to work better, so we shall see. :)

Then I exchanged something at Victoria's Secret and got a cute shoulder bag from their Pink collection. I remembered I had received a coupon from GAP in the mail for a free tote bag. It's a canvas bag that says 0% Plastic on the front. If you use it every Friday from now until the end of January, you get an extra discount on purchases. :thumbsup2

I stopped at Borders Bookstore and exchanged a book. I got a book called High Tea by Sandra Harper and it's signed. I guess they had a few extra signed copies of this book. It has a sticker on the front of the book that says AUTOGRAPHED COPY. :confused3

My bf and I ate dinner at a Meditteranean restaraunt. It's a small restaraunt but their food is excellent. We ordered a combo dinne for 2 of grilled chicken and steak which came with saffron rice, pita bread and cucumber yogurt and mashed potatoes. :thumbsup2

We arrived back at home and I wrapped some Christmas presents. I am officially finished with my Christmas shopping. Woohoo! :woohoo:

Well Pix may be finished with her Christmas shopping, but I on the other hand am up with the chickens!

Went to Target yesterday and the guy in electronics said that they just got a shipment of the Wii Fit's in... but they were not allowed to put them out on their shelves until their "official" holiday shopping season which begins Sunday. So he told me they open at 8am and if I want to be guaranteed one I should be at the store when the doors open. So I'm up early doing my housework so I can hed into Target around 7:30.

So I will either come home with a Wii Fit or the guy in electronics will win a bet...who's the first employee that can make idiot Wii Fit customers line up at the door in freezing cold weather!:rotfl2:

Went to Sears and JC Penney and used up quite a few of the gift cards. They were having GREAT door buster sales yesterday. Plus a coupon, spend $75 and get $15 off. Of course you're only supposed to use one coupon, but that didn't stop us.:rotfl: My neighbor and I worked as a team. I would round up stuff to buy in one department until the total was over $75, go to a different cash register each time, then she would take that bag out to the car while I was working in a different deparment. I got a TON of stuff for $200.

Anyway need to finish my coffee, sort coupons and get my rear on the road in search of the Elusive Wii Fit!:rotfl2: Actually, I'm sure they will have it...instead of heading to Vancouver I go to Longview, a much smaller town north of where I live, they have much smaller stores, a very depressed economy and always have things in stock, not to mention a small mall where you can always get front row parking spaces.:thumbsup2

Well that was Wiisy!:lmao: Pulled into the Target parking lot, walked up to the door just as they were unlocking it...about 5 other people waiting. Me and one other guy walked back to electronics...lady asked if she could help...said we were looking for the Wii Fit...guy was bringing them out from the back. Bought my Wii Fit and got the extra Wii remote & nunchuck as suggested by my fellow Wii Hyenas. :thumbsup2

Now for the bad news for anyone else looking for the Wii Fit...this Target store was supposed to get 100 of them in last night for their weekly ad and Black Friday...they only got 4!:scared1: While we were standing there a manager came out and told us that apparently there was such a high demand that they were only getting 4 for this week and 4 to put out for Black Friday. So I guess getting up with the roosters wasn't such a bad idea at all.:thumbsup2

so ummm would you feel awful if I told you there was a $10 off $25 printable coupon for JcPenney's (valid thru Wednesday) :rolleyes1

I happily used a $10 off $10 at CJ Banks, my smaller sized sis went to their sister store Christopher and Banks. We both walked out with free dress pants from the clearance racks.
Went again with hubby the next day and picked up two more pants/ jeans for free.

Went again today with hubby and got two sweaters for $7 each :goodvibes

Regular price for most of their product line is $45 - $55 each :faint: I shop there on occasion, always making the bee line to the back of the store. :thumbsup2

I call it my teachie clothing store becasue they do a lot of emoidery on their clothing and seasonal prints. Perfect for teachers to coordinate with their classroom themes
