here's some fun ones, from hubby's classes:
Laltigus (nickname Tigus)

Semaj (see maj), another child same name but pronounced See ma Je
Notice what it is backwards?

Malik

Jahlil

Meshach

Phaemous (pronounced as Famous)

The gilrs names are fun too.. the spelling for Jasmine as Jazmyne.

Staley, isn't that delinquent kid who keeps running away from home and sneaking onto airplanes at SeaTac named Semaj?

ETA: I just did a search. His name is Semaj Booker, and he's now 11 yo.

You know that's deliberate, right? My dad used to do the same thing with my boyfriends. :sad2:

ETA: Oh, unless your dad has Alzheimer's or something! GEEZ, I didn't think about that. (My dad can't claim that, though.)

:lmao: :lmao:

No. not yet anyway. He's just extraordinarlily rude in nature. Always has been, the old fart.

E told him off before the transplant surgery, they do the polite nod and the basic how are you ? fine? that's good conversation every since.

My dad was convinced E would take my kidney and run away-- umm what?

I swear he has a screw loose or something.

:rotfl2:

hmm, wrong age group. :lmao:

Some of these kids though :sad2: :sad2:

Hubby told me he had to tell one to pull up his pants or leave class, they were practically around his ankles! I don't get it. Why is having your fanny hang out a "cool" look. :confused3

Yeah... That kid needs to go to PRISON. Seriously. Stealing cars when he was 9? Yeah. He has juvenile delinquent written all over his butt. Lock him up, and throw away the key.

Hey, some people marry for money... Why not for a kidney? I'm sorry, that just sounds so loony! :rotfl2:

Yeah, his mom drives me nuts! I saw her on the news after the court date for the first illegal flight. She was all full of excuses, saying he was just a bright boy who was bored, he needed more help, more services, it wasn't his fault. I just sat there with my jaw hanging open. Being bright does not mean he's blameless; in fact, in my opinion it makes you even more culpable! :sad2:

I know. He knew JUST what he was doing. Little jerk. For a while they were saying he was in protective custody. but not any more. He should be put somewhere.. it wasnt long ago he got arrested again for breaking curfew and breaking into someones HOUSE. :sad2:

I know!

My sis had visted our parents, came back and told me what they said.
My dad had my mom convinced too.

I was like holy cow! You really really don't know my husband do you ? (we had been married for 7 yrs)

I think this was after the blow up between my dad and hubby..... at the time he was trying to protect me. I was getting heck from all sides of the family for choosing to be his donor.

Hubby is my own knight in shining armour, if anyone makes me feel bad he's right there to "rescue " me and tell people off.

I'm usually thinking.. Down boy, down! Stop nawing at that poor person's leg . :lovestruc

Did you see the reports of how many kids were dropped at hospitals until they changed the law?
There are some desperate parents with no hope, no idea of the resources available.

Hubby said the school he is at gets kids from other states. Children who should not be in the school system.

If the child's behavior and other needs are high enough to be institutionalized, parent panics and moves. Only to have the behavior to escalate yet again, start testing process, and move again before the decisions are made.

It's a bad situation.

I saw that! I feel bad for for parents that need the help and cant get it. Its really to bad. I know my sister had ISSUES when sh ewas growing up. To the point where she was sent to live in a home. :confused3 I dont remember anything about it, I was really small. but she was very troubled.

Parents are told to rely on schools to help them, but not all school districts have the resouces to intervene or even to offer recommendation/ referrals.

My sister's district won't offer more than one day a week for special ed preschool to her lil guy. He's more than two standards below norm in SIX areas. Gee, ya think that would qualify him for full sevices? No, because they have "no room".

If the district can't even give a spot to a three year old for services.. how can parents expect to get help with other resources? Most districts don't even have a psychologist on staff.

eek, I didn't realize how late it is.. night. Gotta get sleepy in bed before the snore master starts up his concert.

Thats too bad. I dont know what ours ofers.. only because I have never had to deal with it. But I know that we can get into Eacap if our child has any delays, of we make under $20,000. per year. Thats the only thing I know about.

There was a boy in DS4's preschool class last year. He just happened to previously attend the same daycare the boys had 3 years ago, so we knew the family already.

Anyway, the boy qualified for some sort of special preschool through the district, but only for half-days. The daycare/Montessori school only does full-day care, so the parents put him in DS' preschool for the other half of the day.

I'm guessing he's in a full-day district preschool now, since he's not in DS' class this year. :confused3

Okay... Im getting really sore being on the computer. I think I am going to try to lay down, or something. Night Guys.
