Maybe the UPS box they are sending me contains another note telling me that my Wii will be shipped in 2-3 weeks.:confused3 :confused3 I don't know what they shipped, but it's something.:lmao: I'm actually most anxious to get it so I can find out what the 3 additional games they are sending with it are. Then I will know what other games and accessories to buy.

Oh and almost spilled the beans last night. DS was helping me sort coupons. He see's one for Game Crazy, for a $10 off Wii game. He (being the video game expert) tells me "Mom, this coupon is no good, it's for a Wii, we don't have a Wii, we have an XBox". I say, just put it in the pile...he protests, BUT MOM YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND WII GAMES WON'T WORK ON OUR XBOX. I say, ok, just put it back in my coupon file. MOM!!! THIS COUPON WON'T WORK!!!! Ok, I say, put it with the expired coupons to throw away...then I dig it back out when he's not looking.:rotfl:

Not me! He claimed to be unfindable, because he was re-stocking and/or closing up carts at the end of the night. After stalking several cart CMs (and scaring the bajeebies out of one poor guy!) I never did find Albort. :lmao:

I can just picture the CM's sitting in the lunch room...hey guys I had a crazy lady calling me Albort today, hey me too, yeah a whole group of ladies a couple of months ago were asking if I was Albort.:confused3  Who is this Albort guy and why is everyone always looking for him.:lmao:

Sooo... my husband is worried about me cleaning the kitchen becasue of the chemicals... and he wants me to go touch his work boots??? :scared1: :lmao:

So I got online Friday and it showed that my Wii had shipped, even gives a UPS tracking number, says it's shipped and currently somewhere in Illinois, should arrive on 11/20. Today I get a postcard in the mail, postmarked Friday, says my Wii is on backorder and won't be shipped for 2-3 weeks. :confused3

Isn't that fun?
I've read of people having orders cancelled, only to have the pkg show up the same day they get the cancel email.

Too funny!

Hey don't toss those expireds.. I can use them (up to 3 months back) ::yes::

And military families overseas can use them for 6 months, some of the VFWs collect and ship them out.

PM me your new address and I will start mailing them to you if you want them, since I don't know any overseas military families. Of course my nephew is going to Afghanistan, but I'm not sure if the Afghanistan Walmart is still open.:rotfl2:

Oh that's terrible.. and funny as heck too. :rotfl:

Let me introduce you to this cool thing called Motomail, if he is co-located with Marines you can send letters and photos for free via an email system.

I type up a letter, send it out. It gets received at a station in Iraq, staff prints it out and they hand deliver it to my DN. Usually it only takes a few hours to reach the print station.

It's only one way communication but it's free and faster than a mailed letter. :goodvibes

Failed? What did you fail??

Where can i find a good tamale recipe?

Easy, go to the Mexican deli or latino grocery store. Ask for a bag of them and hand over cash. ;)

I've never tried making my own, too fussy!
mmm, now I want to make a trip to St Paul to our fave deli. YUM!

I failed at quitting my job at Disneyland. :'(

awwww, that's okay. We like it that you work there.. to get the inside scoop ;)

It's hard finding jobs right now, but I know it's gotta be stressful working where you are not appreciated by management.

Just know that as guests.. We appreciate all that you do! :flower3:

You know what.. We should. We have one right down the street from here, but have never gone it. Actually.. We probably have four of five. And still. Never gone in. I told hubby we should give it a go.

We had two big chain latino grocery stores in Moreno Valley, one was really good - cheap and the deli food was excellent. The other is a bigger chain, but the prices were ungodly expensive. And the food was bland! :confused3 It was weird.

But here, we would need to go to certain areas of the metro. Southern St Paul, Lake Street in minneapolis.

We have a very small latino grocery store- mom and pop type.. but it doesn't look very well kept.

I can buy masa harina and the corn husks at Cub (big chain grocery) and they might have tiny package of premade tamales from a local vendor in the deli case.

Kinda sad considering the demographics have changed in the last 5 years around the metro area. There are enough families to support a large store.

I use that site all the time.. I just didnt find a recipe for tamales that jumped out and hit me.. You know?

Takes alot of searching sometimes. There is a cinnamon roll recipe that I loved.. and lost. Tried to find one on the site-- not the same thing. Even the advanced ingredient search kept giving me oddballs that weren't even close (non yeast type).

I think I will try to piece one together with a biscuit dough recipe.. but not sure if that is right either. I've been craving them for a long time :guilty:

All the ones here are mom and pop type. There are a few here in Lakewood.. Which.. while is considered a city... is pretty small. Im willing to bet Tacoma has a ton. There are all kinds of grocery stores there. From Polish, to middle eastern.. and everything in between.

We used to have a Mega Foods.. and they sold homemade tortillas, and tamales and such. but they flooded... and Lowes replaced them. Ill bet Winco sells the stuff to make them.

Yawn, off to bed before hubby starts snoring in there.

Night- good luck on your search.

Bummer... I love that place. I dont think I have tried something from there that I ahvent liked.. Of course.. I wont try something if it doesnt have a bunch of good reviews. :lmao: mmm... now im hungry. :rotfl2:
