I usually get to Disney once a year. Last year I was able to make it twice. July is when we usually go and then I was able to go to the Food and Wine Festival in September. I am the Disney lover in the family. Everyone else just goes along with me, for the most part.
Well, this year I really wasn't planning to go. We were already going to PA for a wedding early June, then Daytona early July. I was going to give the family a break. One day, while watching TV, a Disney ad came on TV regarding the 30% off resort hotels plus I had received a mailing regarding the same. I made the comment "they really want me to come" and my DS said "well, let's go". You don't have to tell me twice. I told him to request the time off and I would make the arrangements. He is currently attending a 2 year community college and plans to continue his education in NC fall of 2016.
Here is our background: We live in Illinois, except for DD who moved to Tampa over a year ago and is a cosmetologist. I am a 51 y/o Disney lover. I am a church secretary. I have been to Disneyland twice and plan to go back next year. I started going to Disney back in the late 70's I guess. I have been 30+ times. My 54 y/o DH, who works for the state, just doesn't enjoy it like I do. My 23 y/o DD enjoys Disney but not like me. I can usually get her to go with me without too much convincing though. My 19 y/o DS probably enjoys it more than he lets on around other people. I am especially looking forward to going this summer with him simply because I know he will get up early and stay late more so than the other 2 without complaining!
Here is where I make my plans:

I was able to get airfare on Southwest from Indy. I purchased 2 tickets for Sunday, 2:30 PM departure with 4:55 PM arrival, then decided I wanted to get there sooner so I exchanged these for 10:15 AM departure and 12:25 PM arrival tickets. I purchased return tickets for Thursday, 11:10 AM departure and 1:25 PM arrival tickets. I also purchased early bird on the return only. Total price paid for airfare: $614.00. More than what I wanted but I purchased early May for mid July and prices have only gone up since . . . so that's that!
Then trying to decide where to stay. I knew I wanted Deluxe. I stayed at Boardwalk last September and absolutely loved it. Then I thought about Poly which we have never stayed at, and Contemporary (which we stayed last July and loved it). We have stayed at WL a few times and love it as well. It's a hard decision. However, after pricing out all of these, the lowest price won out. We are at the WL. I went through Orbitz because not only do they honor the 30% off Disney is offering but I got an additional 15% off on top of that. Total price paid for lodging: $974.29 for 4 nights.
I then went through Disney to purchase 2 2-day park hoppers with my Disney Visa Rewards.
After linking all this to my MDE account, I booked supper at Trails End at Fort Wilderness for Sunday evening, arrival day and supper at Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria for Tuesday evening.
Purchased items so far for this adventure for myself:

He said he would wear a Disney shirt (with great reluctance) one day.
Arrival Day plans: shopping in Downtown Disney, Supper at Fort Wilderness, a monorail ride, and maybe a movie on the WL beach.
Day 2: MK (FP for morning). Afternoon spent in AK. End the evening back at MK.
Day 3: Epcot (early entry), afternoon at HS with FP's. Supper in Epcot, and end the evening with Fantasmic at HS.
Day 4: I told DS he could sleep in (some). Would like to mini-golf, go back to Downtown Disney, then supper at ESPN Club. I wanted to show him the Boardwalk since he didn't go last fall with me. Maybe end the evening with a movie on the WL beach.
These plans are not set in stone (except for the FP's).
Looking forward to seeing Disney again!
