Another transferring points question.

I'm a newbie to this board, so I hope that you will bear with me if this question was previously asked and answered. I am planning on booking a 7 night disney cruise in June 2006 and, if using points, would have to use both Dec 2005 [use year] and Dec 2006 points. Instead of applying those points to the cruise, I realize that I could do better by renting/transferring points [for example at $10 per point] and paying cash for the cruise. I don't feel comfortable with everything involved in renting, so I would like to look at the possibility of tranferring out the number of points to another DVC member or members that may be interested. My question is am I able to transfer points now that have a Dec 2006 use year [Dec 1 '06 to Nov 30 '07], or do I have to wait until a future date [such as Dec 1, 2005] before those points are available for transfer?

I hope that I was able to get across my question without being too unclear, and would appreciate any information that someone could offer. By the way the annual points that I have are 300 BCV and 200 SS.

While I haven't tried it, I think you'll have to wait until your 2005 use year opens to transfer the 2006 points. But call MS to be certain.
