I need some help, I have read all the stickies on tickets and just cannot figure it out, not sure why I think I be making it harder than it is.

I have a UT 10day non-expire hopper ticket with 7 days remaining and my DW has a 10day non-expire hopper with 3 days remaining.

If I wanted to upgrade to an annual pass, do I use the cost of a 3day & 7day with hopper and nonexpire to figure out the amount of $ needed for the AP?
And what if I wanted to use my DVC discount, will that be applied?

Finally, will the day/month of upgrade be the month I upgrade?

Thanks in advance for help.

Ticket upgrades are only possible within 14 days of first use. There is nothing you can do with those tickets, except use them up.

i had a 10 day non expiring park hopper that i bought 3 years ago.
i have 6 days still available on it.

when i went to upgrade to the AP last year, i was told i couldn't as it was past the date from first usage.
think the CM told me i would have had to upgrade to the ap within 14 days of first usage on that ne hopper.

i ended up buying a new ap and saving the older pass for sometime in the future

1. I wanted to upgrade to an annual pass, do I use the cost of a 3day & 7day with hopper and nonexpire to figure out the amount of $ needed for the AP?
2. And what if I wanted to use my DVC discount, will that be applied?

As others have said, you can only upgrade within 14 days of first using the tickets.

However, there are some other points that need clarifying if in the future you have tickets that can be upgraded.

1. You cannot combine the value of 2 tickets (e.g. a 3 day & a 7 day) to upgrade to one AP. An upgrade is one ticket plus cash. If you purchased the tickets as part of a Disney package or through a 3rd party re-seller and you use the MYW ticket to enter a park you will receive the current value of the ticket on the day you upgrade. If you purchase the ticket at a ticket booth in DW or online through the Disney site, you will receive the value you paid.

2. You can upgrade to a DVC AP. Just be sure the value of your ticket is less than the cost of the AP you are upgrading to.

3. The expiration day of the AP will be one year after the first time you use the original ticket. For example, you use a MYW ticket on June 13, 2014, and upgrade to an AP on June 16, the AP will expire on June 13, 2015.

Thank you for all the relies.
I was thinking it may be easiest and best to just buy new DVC AP passes and save the no expire tixs for later.

Sounds right. :thumbsup2
