another ticket price increase? really?

Undercover Tourist is VERY quick in their delivery. From your countdown it looks like you have 15 days before your 60-day window opens. That should be plenty of time for UT to send you your passes even though that may be slammed with customers.

I read horror stories about UT taking several weeks to ship last time there was a price increase so I'm scared. But, I also get a 20% ebates back from the purchase on orbitz as well. I would like the tickets in hand. SO MANY DECISIONS!

Disney increasing their ticket prices this often is a shame. They certainly know how to keep families on budget from experiencing a Disney vacation. I have a feeling Walt Disney would be very sad to know his parks are unattainable for a lot of people.
Reasonable increases are to be expected, but it has become an annual thing, and now, even less than annual.
It is bad enough that the parks have been divided into separate entities, but almost $100 a day for 1 park ? ......wow !

Well my husband is about to do a one month training in Atlanta (we live in md) and hopefully a 3 month training this fall for another promotion.

Typically we go in sept but were thinking nov this year.

Both trips are likely out now though he's planning on us going to atl with him at least the three month trip - perhaps both (stay at home mom home schooled kids allows us the freedom)

So to replace the annual vacation we were going to do some weekend trips to wdw on his day off- until I realized for our family of 5 a 2 day ticket would be $1000. We go during free dining so are used to an 8 day stay in moderate for $2500. 8 days of tickets lodging and food so $1000 for two days not stay is insanity!

I couldn't believe it.

I don't see how it's worth going to wdw unless you're doing 5+ days or of course an AP, which is what we will do if he gets the long fall training since it would be followed by a move to the south - closer to wdw.

I'm still bummed our impromptu quick march visit isn't doable becaus so refuse to pay that.

I see why people complain about it being unaffordable.

To me it always seemed a good value- no more than we'd pay for a beach vacation - but if you go to Orlando and plan on hitting lots of other parks not just buying multi day wdw it is terribly expensive.

Have you considered a 10 day no expiration date ticket? They are not cheap, but even with the park hopper, they work out to around $60 a day. We get ours from Undercover Tourists and we can usually make 1 ticket last 3 trips. We are also a homeschool family so we try to do trips at off peak times.

It would be great if they skipped the price hike at least one year, it's getting crazy. I also think the price of the children's tickets should be at a larger discount from the adult price.

I am curious to know why you feel that way. There are very few things that small children cannot do. Even babies can ride everything that does not have a height limit. What, in your opinion, warrants a bigger price difference between the two tickets?

My family bought these for the first time before the last price hike, and I picked one up today from UT through Mousesavers for my 2yo. We've always gotten tickets for the length of each trip but with the ever escalating ticket prices I know we have these on hand and plan to use them over 4 trips (we also plan to get a MNSSHP or MVMCP on a couple of trips).

A couple of days at the water parks will be appreciated in the Florida heat anyway. ;)

Did you see the latest prices for the NE PH WP&M tickets? They have really gone up. :scared:

I don't think a 3yo should be so close in price to a grown adult. In many circumstances it discourages families from going till their kids are all older, figuring why pay so much if the kids won't remember it? I actually wish there were 3 levels of tickets, kids, junior and adult.

I ordered from UT last year on a Friday and got them that Monday! I was shocked at how fast they came. :goodvibes

Yes, it is a high price. But a show in Vegas runs an average of 125+ a ticket. I have tickets to see Celine Dion in March and they were 150 each. Yes, it's Celine, yes, it's my choice and yes, can't wait to see her (again), but I am dropping more to see her for 2 hours then I would for 12+ hrs at Magic Kingdom. And yep. still going to Disney again next year!! :goodvibes

That would be a good thing....won't be 5 million strollers everywhere :duck:

Just made final payment for our trip in April. Please tell me they are not going to say "by the way" you now owe $$$$$$$ more. They can't do that after final payment is made can they?

You won't be affected by this increase.

I can't take credit for this thought, because I read it on a different site, but does anyone else want to see Universal actually come out tomorrow and decrease the cost of their tickets by $1 across the board, just to blow TDO's collective minds? :lmao:

I wonder how much that works out to per song...

...and then compare to how much the Disney ticket works out to per ride experience...
