We are sailing on Friday. I made appointments for Wednesday morning at a drive-thru testing place near me... last time I used them I am pretty sure they did both a rapid antigen test and a RT-PCR (or maybe NAAT - not sure). I had the antigen back within half an hour and the PCR about 7 hours later. We will fly to FL Wednesday evening.
Couple questions assuming the process is the same...
- will the antigen be accepted if the results are from a licensed medical professional, or should I wait to upload the PCR?
- if for any reason I don't get the results by say Thursday morning, or if something gets fouled up, could we make quick-turnaround appointments with OnPoint to have home tests proctored online on Thursday? We could take tests with us as a backup plan and do them in our hotel Thursday.
- If we go with the contingency plan, can we use the BinaxNOW antigen self test? Do they require it to be a sealed box like eMed does? For the three of us we have one unsealed box of 2 and one box where we've used one of the two tests.
Thanks in advance.
