Another SW boarding pass question

A hypothetical...

You have a SW flight at 8am that connects to a different flight at noon. So you check in (or get EBCI) at get assigned A45. Is that the same boarding number for both flights? Or do you get a new boarding number for the second flight?

When you check in ... you will get 2 boarding passes ... one for each flight.

when you check in you'd be given 2 boarding passes.
they MAY both be for A45 boarding position but that would be a pure coincidence.
when i've had connecting flights i've never gotten the same boarding position.

yes you could.

When you check in for a flight with a connection, you are assigned the next available boarding position for each flight. That might be B10 for your originating flight and A43 for your connecting flight.
