another stupid queation about FB :-)

First off I just typed this all out a few minutes ago and I have no idea what happened to is so if is reappears somewhere, my apologies.

I swear I looked for the answer to this question before I decided to post.

Ok. My son and his now ex GF had a showdown on FB this past weekend. It was ugly. I, as well as everyone else in the house, choose not to be "friends" with her any more. I deleted her as a friend but I am still seeing all the nasty comments she is posting about my son on my news feed. I guess she hasn't deleted us/me yet. Anyway is there a way I can block her messages from showing on my pages or do I have to deal until she decides to delete me.?

I think if you scroll over to the right of the post, you can "hide" her feed.

if you really "un-friended" her then you shouldn't be able to see anything on your news feed. Un-friending someone means that you don't get to read any of their posts. that's why when you friend someone, they have to accept so that you can see their stuff as well as them seeing yours.

If she is posting comments on your son's posts then that will still go to your wall until your son un-friends her.

If you are still seeing her actual status and posts then you must not have actually "unfriended" her, because she shouldn't show up in your feed unless she's your friend. As long as one person deletes the other then the link is broken and the two people are no longer friends - both people don't have to do it.

If the comments you are seeing are in response to your other friends' posts, then she has her privacy set to "friends of friends" and that's why you are seeing them in your feed. I think that if you block her (rather than just "unfriending" her) then you won't see those comments any longer, and she won't be able to see yours either. Otherwise, you should just be able to hide any posts from her.
