Another Stupid FP+ question....

I haven't been to the parks since December, so forgive me if I've missed something. Most of the legacy FP machines are gone now (if not all of them) as I understand it. We have APs, no MBs for us yet. So how are we to utilize FPs? Can we link the app and make reservations that way? That stinks for us since we often make last minute trips at 3-4 in the afternoon.

1- The machines are still there, but they are all covered and not available to guests,
so no legacy FP's at all.

2- You use your AP tickets (they need to be the plastic RFID tickets) to make "day-of" FP+ reservations
at kiosks inside the parks. You can make 3 FP+, total, all chosen at one time at the kiosk.
You can go back to a kiosk and make changes later, if need be.

3- At this time, only if you make a reservation at a WDW resort.
