That is correct. You were still in your Aug 2004 UY when you purchased, so you received current years points (2004) and next year 2005 points. Your UY begins every Aug and purchase date doesnt matter.

Your guides will sell you a 2004 UY, if it is available, not all of them are. Once the year has past, they don't sell it, so April would most likely not be available because the 2004 UY points will expire on March 31 2005.

Some have received a banking exception, but that is on a case by case basis and not guaranteed.

All DVC Guides offer the same deals. The exact amount of the discount will vary depending upon Use Year. People that are still in their 2004 Use Year will get points for '04 along with a $5 discount. Members that are already in their '05 Use Year don't get any '04 points, and therefore get a slightly higher discount of $8 off.

Just got off the phone with my guide and...

WOO-HOO!! You were right!

My guide admitted that there was an error made and told me that my contract got kicked back and it had to be changed. My Feb. UY contract is the same deal as yours, tjhsr !! So I gain another $3 off per point more than I expected. This is a very good deal!!

Why would this not work for April Use years?

I'm just guessing but since there are only 10 days left in your '04 Use Year, I don't see how the 2004 points would do you any good. DVC may be willing to make a one-time banking exception (since we're well past the normal banking deadlines), or they may just say that you're too close to the end to offer you '04 points.

That's all speculation--ask your Guide.

Mickeysduck: Glad you got things worked out. I wasn't entirely certain myself, so it's nice to know that we'll get that deal if we decide to add-on in the next few months.

I'd like to know this too. It sounds really good, but I'd like to see SSR before I decide, and we won't be down there for a while.

Mickeysduck,I called to make a change for our oct. trip.And the 120pts were there to use. So WOO-HOO is right. I hope this new deal goes on for a while I need a break from adding on. Joined in May 04 and have done 2 add-ons already.

Have not even recieved my contract to sign yet, and I have 120 SSR points and 100 BWV points ready to use.

Got a ressie at SSR for the Flower and Garden show in May.

We have never been, so we are anxious to see what that is all about.
