Another South West question

hey,

im from the UK so i'v not had any experience with southwest before.

im coming to work at WDW this summer but after (start of september) i am planning on flying to vegas and then to LA.

My first question is: if i book now and i find a cheaper fare NOT with SW will i be able to cancel my SW booking and will there be a charge?

My second question is: if i book now and find a cheaper fare WITH SW will i be able to cancel or amend my booking to get the cheaper fare?

My third question is are these prices good?

September 4th - Orlando to Vegas one-way non-stop for $189 inc. tax. (the next day the price decreases by $80, but my dates arnt very flexible.any chance the price will come down?)

September 6th - vegas to LA one-way non-stop for $59 inc. tax.

With SW, if you need to cancel a ticket, you receive a credit for the price you paid that you have a year to use on SW. If you rebook on the exact same flight at a cheaper rate you will probably be able to talk them into refunding you the difference instead of giving you credit, but there is no guarantee.

$99 o/w is about as cheap as you will see from the East Coast to Vegas on SW. The fact that some flights are at that price point indicates that are at their lowest rates. There's a chance that $189 flight will go down, but I wouldn't count on it. For what it's worth, I just booked my flights to Vegas - $179 going out; $99 (pre tax) coming back and I'm happy with those rates. SW hasn't been cheap from Hartford to Vegas lately.

You will sometimes see $29 (pre-tax) Dings from LA to Vegas, but it's very hit or miss, especially on a Thursday. A more likely scenario is a $10 drop in price from what you see now, but I would go ahead and book - not worth taking a chance to maybe save $10.
