I don't know where to post this, so I'll give this board a try, maybe someone can give me a tip/opinion on the most comfortable sneaker. Not sandals, I don't wear them in the parks, I'm looking for a super comfortable sneaker, I don't care what the price is as long as their VERY comfortable. I tried on Nike walking sneakers air something, they felt real good, but, I don't know if they'll be good enough to walk in for hours & hours. Any suggestions?

I have a pair of Skechers Sport sneakers, best sneakers I have ever owned. They are so comfortable. Plan on taking them with me in October.

I love my New Balance walking shoes. I'm a nurse and on my feet alot. I have never had a blister or sore spot from this brand. I now own 3 different pairs for different activities.
They are great. New Balance sell here at Sears and Miejers. Cost on sale around $35 to $45 a pair.

I think walking shoes tend to have a wider toe box. Running shoes tend to be a little thicker on the sole with lots of curves and bumps on the sole as well.

So then do I look for running or walking shoes? Whats more comfy? I do have wide feet, but I also fit pretty good in medium widths. As for the New Balance, when I did a search on this subject I noticed alot of posters saying how great these sneakers are. When I looked at them in the store there's many diff. styles. What style is the best. THanks for helping, I know I'm making a big deal out of this, but, you all know that when your feet hurt, you whole body hurts.

When I bought my first pair of New Balance walkers I wore them in the house (so not to get them dirty) for a week. I had no problem with them so I didn't have to return them. I do this with any shoe I buy and they go back if my feet hurt.

I just try the different styles on in the store an pick the one that feel the most comfortable to me. I really don't care how stylish they look as long as they are comfortable.

Shoe shopping takes me hours. I only go if I have the time to leasurely try on shoes.

I really like Rockport shoes. They have a lot of different styles and they're designed so that if you need a shoe insert, it's easy to put in. They even have dress shoes with a tennis shoe inside so you can look dressed up but still be comfy. They're the only brand my DH and I will wear. Usually about $60 to $120 depending on the style though if you're near an outlet, you can sometimes get them buy one get one.

The Nike Air Visi shoe is GREAT! I can wear them all day and my feet never get tired. You hardly notice that you have them on! The open end in back is really nice for hot weather too. One funny thing about them is that they "squeak" when you walk. I guess it's just the design that makes them do that, but it's not so bad. They are pricier than a lot of shoes, but I bought a pair (brand new) for me and one for my oldest DD on ebay for about 1/3 of what they sell for in the stores. :p

Whatever shoes you decide to take, make sure they are broken in first or you will not enjoy your VACATION.

Saucony is the best shoe i have found.i have tried the Nike and New Balance and liked them but i love my new Saucony tennis shoes.they feel awesome on and they are so light it feels as if you have nothing on.

Another vote for Saucony. I lucked-out and found a great pair at the Saucony outlet while traveling in Destin, Florida...$80.00 pair for $29 bucks! I think they are cross trainers, but I wear them for walking, jogging, exercising, everything. I love them.

My only concern for my upcoming trip is getting them wet...I might have to pick up a pair of sport sandals, that way I can't go wrong.

Another vote for Rockport. If you go to an outlet store ask if they still have AAA discount.
