Crocs, sneakers or leather sandals for July? I'm not sure which will be best for me.

Daughter can probably stand walking around all day in her crocs but I don't usually wear mine for long periods of time. In summer, I'm used to my leather sandals. I wear my sneakers in winter.

Advice?

We have only been in the summer. The only time I have gotten a blister is when I wore my sneakers.

I wear crocs (caymans and Athens, which I alternate), and dressier sandals in the evening if we go out somewhere. I bring bodyglide with me in case I get any hotspots, but never any blisters with the crocs for me.

I alternate between my running shoes and my ecco performance sandals during the day. We usually go back to our room mid afternoon for a nap/shower then I wear my leather flip flops. I've tried several different crocs, shoes and sandals during our summer trips and the last two summers my feet were happy ;)

I'm leaving Sunday, so I don't have time to order/break in new shoes.

I guess I'll pack all 3 and the first night, which we won't be going to the parks, I'll try my sneakers and see if I can tolerate the heat.

Which Ecco Performance do you have, "Gandia" or "Yucatan"?

Actually they're the closed toe type with the sling back, I think it's one of their Mary Jane styles. My niece wears ecco performance sandals all the time and swears by them. She's the one who told me about them. My Mary Janes are about 2 years old and have mesh/leather around the toe and then a very comfortable sandal type strap like the gandia/yucatan.

I made the whole family rotate shoes/sandals last summer. Shoes in the morning, return to the room after lunch to cool down/swim/shower, then off to dinner and parks in sandals/flip flops. Or the reverse. No blisters, 10 people, 3 were WDW newbies.

Well I've been walking around my neighborhood (it's hot and humid here - a decent test) these past couple of days with my dog just for a trial run on shoes.

The leather sandals are going to be the winners.

My feet hurt after both the sneakers and crocs -different places, too. My toes rubbed in the sneakers and the heels were sore on the crocs (I guess not enough support).

But my leather sandals are doing well. But just in case, I'm going to pack the other shoes anyway and I have a stock of moleskin.
