A teenage diver is in critical condition Wednesday after nearly drowning while performing underwater shore restoration at the Walt Disney World Dolphin hotel.

What's sad is that Disney would hire a sub that uses 16 yr olds to perform work. What type of labor laws dues FL have? Disney should have standards in their contracts that prohibit this.

Article clearly states that the sub-contractor was hired by the Dolphin Hotel, who is owned and operated by Starwood Hotel & Resorts.

This kind of post really bothers me.

First you blame Disney for hiring a contractor who uses 16 yrs old workers when in fact they had nothing to do with it.

Then you're outraged that a contractor would use a 16 yr old without even knowing what the Fl laws are on the subject.

I guess it's just easier to condem Disney first and ask questions later.
