I've been looking around (and getting great tips!) since we are planning our next trip to WDW for some time May/June 2006. DS will be 2.5 and a good age for lots of rides in fantasyland but my DD will be 10 months old. Will I be able to take her on the kid friendly rides as well or will she be too young? We are planning on taking another 'grown up' so hubby and I can go on a ride or two and maybe even have dinner out one evening. This will be our first WDW trip with kids. We thought about waiting but we are DVC members and have banked points we need to use, not to mention I'm DYING for a vacation to WDW.

good question! i don't have any answers for you, but i wanted to subscribe! in October we are going with dd 9months!

I think you can take her on most rides except for those with a height restriction. We took my daughter last year and she was almost 5 months and did Dumbo, Pooh, Peter Pan, Mickey's Philharmagic, the safari, playhouse disney and many many more. We are looking forward to going the end of September with our kids (3 and 17 months). Good idea on having another adult. We didn't do that last year and have "recruited" grammy to come with us this year. Have a good time!

Yep all rides with out restrictions are safe enought for them to lap ride! :) I took my dd1 when she was 20 months and she rode all the rides that had no restrictions. And in 5 more days we'll be going down with my 12 month old who will ride everything including haunded manion, space ship earth, IASW, peter pan flight, ect. HTH!

We took our almost 5mo old on pretty much any ride that did not have a height restriction. She did sit out the tea cups and the race cars. Other than that I think she went on every ride her 2yr old sister went on. It seems that at that age they are still too little to be afraid of some things that might scare older kids, like POTC, HM, Snow White, etc. I would make sure that you either the little one between 2 adults or at least on the side of the ride that is not open on rides that have a bar that comes down.

Yes, the other posters are correct. Your 10 month old can go on anything that doesn't have a height restriction. We just got back and my youngest was 9 months. The only thing she didn't like was the haunted mansion. I really thought she was too young to be scared but something freaked her out in the HM. I don't know if it was the dark or the music or what, but she buried her head in my chest and tried to climb over my shoulder through the ride. That really surprised me.

ohh this is sooo exciting! i cannot wait to take my dd. the good thing is we will not feel like we are missing out on anything since i am pregnant and can't ride anything but the no restriction rides too! Thanks for the info!

My daughter will be 8 months on 9/2 and we are taking our THIRD trip to Disney with her. LOL. She really enjoys the parks and the rides. The only thing that scared her was Pirates, and I think it was b/c her Aunt *who's seven* pretended to scare her. We're going for Labor Day weekend, and I'm so excited about going on more rides with her!

She was 4 1/2 months old and teething the last time we went, she actually broke her two bottom teeth at Disney. My only advice, take lots of pit stops so they don't get too cranky. Julie did wonderful, new toofers and all.
