We ate a Raglan Road on Saturday. It is very beautiful inside, lots of hardwood everywhere. Not many people knew it was open so it wasn't crowded at all. I had the 'pie in the sky', a mushroom and chicken pie, which was very good. DH had the pork shank which he said was good and tender. We shared the apple/strawberry cobbler for dessert. The prices are like Rainforrest Cafe. They said that you would be able to buy fish and chips around the back, similar to Rose and Crown I'm guessing. There would also be outdoor seating available, although it wasn't ready yet when we were there. Also the band wasn't there yet when we were there. They have Kaliber's there, which made DH happy. The sign said it holds 740 something people. The menu didn't seem that big yet. We didn't try any of the appetizers. The staff was very friendly and introduced themselves. Some of the waitresses didn't seem very familiar with the menu yet though.

Enjoyed reading your review ~ Thanx for posting.

They had lots of beer choices. All the regulars plus all the Guiness. Similar to Rose and Crown.

Grrrrr! I was there Saturday night (at WDW) and never CONSIDERED that RR would be opened! We walked by it on Monday Oct 10th and it looked like they still had a way to go with the construction! Do you know what day it officially opened? It looks HUGE...is the dining/lounge area large? And did I see gift shops attached? Glad you enjoyed it...guess I will have to plan to go there on my NEXT WDW trip! :cool1: Thanks for the review!

Will be there in 16 days and am glad to hear that they have a gift shop. Something tells me that there is a good chance there will be a pint beer glass with RR on it in my collection next month. :cool1:

We're leaving for WDW in 3 hours!!!!! I am so excited!!!!!We thought we'd try out Raglan Road tonight when we get in..........I love trying new things and yet keeping the old close to my heart...........Let you know what we think after the 30th.........DH just wants some Jameson's
Just hope Wilma doesn't keep us down....We have MNSSHP friday and POS saturday...........Party on!!!

We were there this past Saturday. They were still working on it, but it was open. They said they official opening is Thursday, tomorrow. :teeth:

I can't believe Im asking this...What and where is Raglan Road?

Never mind I just found out.....

I think I'm going to end up with an extra gift certificate. I'd wanted to order one and thought I did, but there are two charges on my credit card. I know that when I tried to order them, it said that it had timed out, so I entered my info again and I think that means I've now got two.

So my decision now is...do we go twice, or do I find someone who missed out on the GC deal and sell it to them for the same price that I paid. Decisions! Decisions!

We ate there last Thursday. The crab and potato cakes appetizer was outstanding :earsboy:

Is dinner very pricey here? Are the fish and chips or appetizers less expensive and enough for a meal? I'm thinking of going but just for the beer really, but with a smaller dinner would be great. Thanks.

I think the fish and chips dinner was the same as rose and crown, 14.99, I think. I know the burger and fries is 10.99.

Yes, I echo an earlier post - please, what and where is Raglan Road? :confused3 Sounds like a place we would like.

Sorry! We didn't answer because Stacy edtied her post to say that she found out what and where it was!

New Irish pub/restaurant at DTD!

Yea, and if memory serves correct, the Jazz club that WAS there is on the end of Pleasure Island away from the main stage. Closer to Disney Marketplace.

The fish and chips were $15.95, and the loin of bacon we had was $19.95. I DO plan on posting about it very soon.. lazy me.

I found the prices to be fairly high compared to the Irish place we go in Winter Park. We went with a friend last Friday and for an appetizer, seven beers (between two of us), two entrees, a diet Coke (guess who), dessert, and tip, it was nowhere near the price at Raglan Road last week (where we ordered pretty much the same, but three beers).

Edit: oh yeah, the dessert we ordered (Chocolate Kiss, maybe?) was $9 :earseek: It was a small piece of a chocolatey dessert with corn flakes. Good, but not $9 good!
