Another question about Crocs...

I'm thinking about getting my mother (66) some crocs for our trip next year. I've noticed that the real crocs (not the off brands) have little bumps on the inside. Do you notice these when you wear them? Are they annoying? She's pretty picky about things like that, but I'd like to get her some good quality shoes--she has had surgery on her foot years ago for calcium deposits and she has knee arthritis. Thanks!

I'm pretty picky about that stuff too. I can't wear those massaging type flip flops because they really hurt my feet. When I got my first pair of crocs, the bumps bothered me for the first ten minutes. And every once in a while, if I haven't worn them in a long time, it'll take another ten minutes to adjust to the bumps. But it's not a pain thing like the massaging flip flops...just a "hey what's that under my foot" thing. It has not deterred me from them. I'd recommend having your Mom try them - she'll know best!

I was concerned about those "bumps" too when I got my pair, but I don't feel them. I think it's because the foot bed molds to your feet after you wear them for a few hours.

I just ordered a pair of Crocs for diabetics. She normally wears a size 7 so I ordered the small (6-7) and had them delivered to her house in OH. She says they feel too big but I finally convinced her to wear them and if they still feel too big throw them in the dryer for a while because I think that the XS (4-5) will be too small. I just don't think she understands how they are suppose to fit.

Out of all my pairs of CROCS, I only have one pair that bothered me at first. The bumps seems more obvious on those(they were also noticably smaller, yet the same size as my others) so I think that was just a fluke. Now that I've warn them for a while, the bumps are worn in and don't bother me. My ONLY complaint( and something I'd consider for an older woman or man ) is I trip ALL the time in my CROCS. I don't know if it's just me, or what. But everytime I wear them, I trip, at least once. :teeth:

OMG!!!! ME TOO! So now I know I'm not crazy! It'll be my luck that I"ll see a hot guy, and when he smiles at me, I'll have a "Croc-trip". :sad2:

Another Croc tripper here too! Not a fall on your face trip...more like a stub my toe stumble. I tend to shuffle when I walk (and not pick my feet up)...so I just blame myself. My DH stumbled the first few days of wearing them but hasn't had the problem since...I can't seem to "outgrow it" though! :teeth:

I can't wear Crocs because of just that. It feels like I'm walking on pebbles! ack! I would look into Clarke Sandals and/or Easy Spirit walking shoes.

i have a pair of crocs and i love them, my gf trips over her feet all the time in hers its quiet hilarious but i would recommend them to anyone.

I bought a pair of Crocs last summer before our trip to WDW and I loved them! After I bought them I took some time to get used to them... First I wore them around the house to make sure they were comfortable. I knew I could still return them if I only wore them inside my house. Then when I knew I would keep them I took walks around my neighborhood.

I highly recommend Crocs. Maybe you could you get them for her and have her try them in her house for a couple hours to see if she likes them.

But to answer your original question, I don't notice the bumps in mine. I'm picky about that kind of thing too, but they don't bother me.

I have both the Beach and Cayman style and there is a difference inside each. My Beach are much softer and have a smooth toe "bar". The Caymans are harder and the bumps inside more noticeable. I got the Caymans first and was fine with them - until I found out how much softer the Beach style is.
