Another QS Dining plan-Free style cup question

I did search, but couldn't find any info on my specific question. I know in general, the QS dining plan is not easy to come out ahead on. I'm comfortable with "working" the system (within the guidelines of the inclusions) to maximize our savings.

So hypothetically, if I were to get 1 or 2 of the QS dining plans that included the free style cup, can the inclusions be redeemed on different days? Our first park day will be on the semi-private VIP tour. In my perfect world, I'd be able to redeem just the cups on our first day to have as we tour. We'll have the 'other' QS dining plan included in the VIP package, so no need to pay out for a ton of food that day. That would leave the purchased QS meal and snack that were part of the cup QS dining option free to use on another day, yes? So, we could lunch at Thunderfalls at a later date using the purchased inclusions?

Or, can I not create my own fantasy world at Universal where rules bend to my whim?

I've got the same question. I've got three kids and we're going for 4 days. I was thinking of getting one kids QS w/ Freestyle for each of them, but redeeming one cup per day (and paying for an extra day for day 4). All three are probably going to want butterbeer as their snack on day 2 though.
