We are planning on a two night stay prior to our Saturday sail. We would like to visit Cocoa Beach and maybe Cape Canaveral. Would you choose the Radisson (which I was thinking) or one closer to the beach and more action? Any suggestions would be helpful!

The Radisson is fine for a one-night stay, but if I were staying in the area for more than one night, I'd definitely want to stay somewhere that's oceanfront or within a block of the beach.

Thank you for your assistance, Dave. I have read your all your hotel reviews. Advice from you I take as valuable.

Would it make a difference if we plan on renting an Avis car, or should we try another company with a drop off further away? I have checked the locator map. We've never used Avis, always National from MCO, but never cruised before. Do the other rental companies offer a free shuttle to the port?

dennisnlisab96 - That's great you'll be on that cruise. We are getting exciting now that we're less than one year! I did not publicize my email address. I am very new at these boards and not sure how all this works. Can I email you?

I hope I am not premature, but I plan on booking car, hotel and airfare (I think from what I've read others have had success booking their own air and saving money, especially since we plan on flying down two days early - is this true)
