Hi I am wondering do all AB rooms have the trundle bed ? we have 3 in our party do they charge more to have a room with the trundle ? Thanks Michelle

also wondering if 15 is a NON smoking building ? ( thinking request will be Building 15 , 1st floor )

I had the same question and was told by someone at CRO that all AB rooms have the trundle but you will only be charged if you use it. I suppose they figure if you have less than 5 people in your party that you won't need it. There will be 4 of us when we go in Oct. but my dd saw pictures of the trundle and really wants to sleep there but I don't know if I'll let her or not. I guess if we made the bed before we left in the mornings mousekeeping would never know, or maybe if we left a nice tip ;) they wouldn't snitch on us!!

First, PORS is a beautiful resort!

There are 2 sides AB and the Mansions, the river divides the two.
AB has the trundle bed and not every room has one. The trundle bed is small and not meant for an adult. You must request a room w/ a trundle and there is an extra fee.

Hi , I think I will just request AB and hope for a Trundle and make it back up each day before we leave and see what happens - Is there anyone who will admit to that here ??? ( this is a budget trip and i am booked at ASMo now but with the new code HEY what is only $30 more - we are only there for 3 nights. ) Thanks Michelle

We usually just have me, DH and DD or just me and DD, so we never NEED the trundle bed. However, in the 6 times we've stayed at POR, we've always gotten a trundle bed room. We have never been charged extra even though my DD would nap on the bed and often put her dolls to bed there. We were open and obvious about it and were never charged. (I always tip, but I don't think they're out to catch people.)

also wondering if 15 is a NON smoking building ? ( thinking request will be Building 15 , 1st floor )
Yes Bldg. 15 is nonsmoking, I believe Bldg. 18 is smoking. We stayed in 15, 2nd floor, corner room, courtyard view in 2002 and Bldg. 14, 2nd floor, yada yada, in 2003. Loved them both. ~:D~

I thought you were only charged extra if you actually "needed" the bed..or maybe only if you had 3 adults? I couldnt' figure out when we would be charged. For instance, we had 5 in a room, 3 adults. We were charged the extra price for the third adult, but when I asked about the trundle bed, we were told no charge, since we had paid an adult rate for the third adult.

For AB rooms, I think the expectation is there will be full disclosure of who will be in the room (like, 1 adult, 2 kids, or 2 adults, or ...). Anyway, I'd only booked myself in there as one adult back in January, and my mom became available to visit with me. During the check-in, I mentioned it and the CM said something like, oh, well, you need to let us know that.

BTW, my AB37 2nd floor room *did* have a trundle. And we didn't ask for it. :p

Enjoy your POR stay!!

We have stayed in AB many, many times and have ALWAYS had a trundle bed in the rooms that have 2 beds in AB (never in the King bedroom). We have never requested it and on many occassions when our GS has stayed with us he has used it. We have never hid the fact that he used it and have never been charged for it. I also believe that you are only charged for it if you have 5 in your party and it's obvious that you need the extra bed. We always leave it pulled out and a mess and it's always neat when we return, so housekeeping fully knows that this bed is being used. BTW: We have also had refrigerators in our rooms on certain trips and have never been charged for them either (not at POR--usually in the King bedrooms at the All Stars). BTW, been in #15 and is non-smoking (or was), a great location! I personnally prefer the Mansions myself, but alot of times the Mansions are being refurbished (or closed during slow times) so have been in AB too many times.

Hi Again, Thanks for all the great responses ! I have switched my ressie and they know the room is for 1 adult and 2 kids ( on the call they didn't charge me for a trundle when i request the AB ) I do usually tip $5.00 a day for the 3 of us. Thanks again Michelle
