Another Pin Code Question

I was told by the Disney rep (per chat) that pin codes are only for those who have stayed at Disney atleast once before. Is this true?

i got a PIN code this AM for up to 30% room from 6/1-8/27... PLUS free park hopper if you get 5 day or more tickets.
from what i read, theres really no rhyme or reason to who gets the PIN codes... we were there last February, but my mom made the reservation, so the reservation stuff was in her name. and we did go on a Disney cruise in the fall, but not sure if that has anything to do with it.... and in searching my e-mail, last June i apparently got a code for free dining in the fall, and later a code similar to the one i got today- for a % off and free park hopper option in the summer. So they've been trying to target me for awhile!! HAHA
The one i got today is driving me nuts!! HAHA bc its ends on 8/27.... and we already have a disney trip booked to check in on 8/29!!! so we miss being able to use it by a week!! i would push our trip back a week- but we can't with my husbands work schedule, and i already have my ADRs all set up!! just crossing my fingers that i'll get another one, OR a general public discount will come out!!

That's a bummer that you can't use it!

Our dates are REALLY flexible after July so I am hoping something comes out, but I would love a pin code! I have signed up for about everything and anything Disney but I am doubting we will get anything after what the rep said today.
