Another personal question vent

I'll bet in your case, his daughter has been telling him lots of things that may have pushed him into saying something.
2 young girls, best friends, one with a single mother, and one with a single father. Bet their imaginations are running wild!

Oh I hadn't thought about that.

How about saying point blank, I'm sorry I don't discuss my personal dating or sex life with the parents of my daughter's friend. That is about the rudest damn thing I have ever heard.

I think I could use this, thanks. I'd make it a little easier on his ears, but I've got to get this settled. I think I tried this before, but I need to be more clear, apparently.

LOL, Pembo.

How do you tell someone you won't ever go out with them, and won't ever anything else with them either? Without being rude or hurting them.

Tell him he's niccceeee! He'll get the picture. It's a subject I would feel uncomfortable discussing with anyone. It's no ones business.

It's not you, it's me, let's just be friends"?

you want me to date him

 LMAO!!!! I was laughing so hard my kid had to come in and ask if I was ok.

I would probably say that I was in no way ready to date at all yet. I would also probably say that it made me uncomfortable to discuss personal things with the parent of my daughter's friend, so I'd prefer he not bring the subject up again. If he's a decent guy, he'll get the message.

Sometimes I don't think folks think before they speak. It's that old, "engage brain before opening mouth" syndrome. At least he called to apologize.

Deffiently tell him that you do not feel comfrontable with him asking you questions like that and your personal business is just that personal.

I am a single parent and I do not date. I have not had a date for 7.5 years. And have NO interest in dating.
