Today was a ‘mop-up’ day so we were up at 8:00 and out by 8:40 to get into the shops at Disneyland Park before they got crowded.

First stop was actually Buzz Lightyear where, thanks to a few ride stops, I managed to get my best ever score of 240,500 while Dad managed 89,100. The shops still weren’t open so we went round to the Market House Deli on Main Street where we had a chocolate filled Mickey brioche and coffee each which we sat and ate while watching the world go by on Main Street starting their day at the park.

At around 9:50 we saw the shops starting to open up so we wandered around trying to remember where we had seen the various things we wanted to buy and making various purchases.

By 10:45 we had got what we wanted in Disneyland Park so we left and walked up to Disney Village where we got another couple of bits in the Disney Art Gallery.

From there we went back to the room to drop off our shopping and take some photos of the room which I hadn’t got round to doing before

At 11:30 we left and drove round to the Val D’Europe shopping centre where we had a walk round for a couple of hours before having a drink and leaving.

On the way back to the hotel we stopped off at the petrol station to fill the car up with petrol for the journey home tomorrow and then went back into Disneyland Park where I first took some photos of the windows on Main Street.

From there we went to Les Voyages de Pinocchio which, like most of Disney’s dark rides, we found went far too fast and just as you see something you are already past it. I think what would be better would be for Disney to convert all of it’s rides to continuous loaders like Phantom Manor and run them at about half the speed, which should allow for the same number of guests per hour but at a slower pace.

From Pinocchio we stopped off to buy a couple of canvases

Which we then took back to the hotel before making our way to Walt Disney Studios where I had intended to catch the 4:00 showing of Animagique but we got there just in time to sneak into the 3:15 showing, which was running about 10 minutes late.

After Animagique we went back to our room to sort out our shopping and do our packing ready to leave tomorrow morning. At 5:00 we went down to the hotel bar where we had two rounds of 1664 and Carlsberg before checking in and being taken up for our 6:45 reservation at the California Grill.

As the normal restaurant was being re-furbished it had been re-located to the Founders Club on the third floor and we had a table with the perfect view out across main street towards the castle, which was a f ar better view than if we had been in the normal restaurant on the second floor, unfortunately my camera battery was on charge having run out earlier in the day so I didn’t get any photos of it. We were served with an amuse bouche of salmon mousse to start with then we both had smoked salmon starters, then Dad had fillet of beef and I had duck breast followed by cheese for Dad and Opera cake for me. We finished off with a brandy and coffee each and the total bill was 173 Euros, which was just under what we expected considering it is one of the flagship restaurants of the resort.

After our meal we went down to the bar where we had another brandy each before going back to the room and we were in bed by 10:15 ready for our long journey home tomorrow.

Day 5

Another lovely day, great gifts that you purchased:thumbsup2

Your room at the Disneyland Hotel was fabulous but I am not so sure about seeing Tower of Terror.

The Main St windows is something I have enjoyed over a number of occassions. Looking at your photos I was listening to the dentist and the music lessons :goodvibes

Love your shopping, especially your Jim Shore. :thumbsup2

What a lovely room ~ it's a special birthday for me next year and I keep dropping hints but unfortunately I think it's falling on deaf ears. :rotfl:

Also loving your Disney Tradition ornament :). Great pics again, and congrats on your high BUzz score. Are you going to tell us what the other one was now?!

Great pics again David - and great reporting too.
I noticed there are none of your famous firework and night time shots. Do they not have a Wishes equivalent in DLRP??

 I wouldn't say they are famous. As far as I know the fireworks shows at DLP are seasonal rather than being year round like they are at WDW and Disneyland California. We were there 'between themes' so I think we missed out on them and if we ever do go back I will probably go sometime like Christmas or Halloween when there seems to be more going on.

Lovely day, your meal sounded delicious-did you both enjoy it?.The room looks lovely.Love the Tink canvas.x.
