another paint color question

Would Antique White be alright to paint the walls when selling a house?

We know the trim is going to be a bright white.

I'd go with a warm tan color. Then you will actually see the trim stand out. But then again I don't do white walls at all. Tan just seems so much more homey than white.

I'd agree with PP - go with a warmer color. We sold our house a couple of years ago, and originally thought that white would be great - giving the new owners a clean slate to work with. But, no one was interested in our house, until we had a "stager" come through, who explained that people couldn't picture themselves living in the house with all white walls, since it seemed to institutional. Once we painted warm wall colors, we had people expressing interest and sold the house.

White walls are a HUGE turn off for me. Our home was new construction and we had white walls for 1 year due to the drywall warranty. After about 3 months we started painting because I felt so depressed living in an institution, I didn't care about the warranty anymore. We are currently looking at a house with all white walls and DH is dreading having to paint right away to remove the institution feel. At least with a nice neutral color we might still want to repaint, but could live with it for awhile.

I would go with a warm tan/khaki color and really make your trim pop! It will make your house much more homey!

I guess I'm in the minority ... I don't mind white walls.
