anyone have a list ready to fire off of the essentials?

I know, clothes, undies, suncreens, etc... but what did you all pack???

Stuff for kids to do on the plane, tylenol, allergy stuff, bandaids (I ususally carry one of those $1 first aid kits) zip lock bags, aftersun, clickable sharpies (for autographs), backpack or something or carry in the park, extra batteries, extra tape or memory card for camcorder/camera, $1 ponchos, $1 hand held fans (I got mine at walmart), cell phone charger (I always forget mine).

That's all I can think of for now, but I'm sure there are things I am leaving out.

Here is packing list for my upcoming trip.

You should have seen me with my list and clipboard in hand. I would check off what I have already packed and what is needed to get. :rotfl2:

If you chew gum, be sure to take what you'll need for the trip if you won't be going off site. No gum is sold at WDW. Never gave it a thought, but my BFF chews gum and we discovered the lack thereof in 2003!

Geek bag: Everything you need for electronics. Chargers, cords, extension cord, telephone cords/connectors to jerry rig telephone line for brief computer use (works great, it's just slow!), extra batteries, manuals (if needed). Anything not actually connected to the electronics.

OTC meds are a must for me. Antihistimine, cold & flu, pain relief. The resort prices are high if you need anything of that sort. I just take a small amount; if I have to purchase more, so be it!

Eyeglasses, contact lens supplies, sunglasses, extra contact lenses. I take a spare pair of sunglasses. I rarely lose or break them, but did manage it once! *LOL*

Rolaids. All that heavy eating down there sure gives me a ton of heartburn!

The only thing I could find that was missing from the list is Earplugs!

I picked up a great check-list style list on the Dis a few months ago that even includes things to do with house and pets before leaving. If you'd like to see it just PM me with your e-mail and I'll send it.

The pp's list above is GREAT! I pulled a few items from that one to add to my own. There are just a couple of suggestions that I offer:

*Pal Mickey - if you have one... don't forget him at home... we did... ONCE!
*Insulated Bags - I purchased these at a dollar general - for July trip - plan to bring ice/rags in these to cool off while waiting.
*Extra shoes for everyone - if they get wet, awful putting them on the next
day wet... and better to not wear same pair two
consecutive days (as seen on Oprah)
*Drink Mixes - we are bringing Wyler's Light drink mixes to put in our water
*Pillows/Favorite stuffed toy - I must have my own pillow in order to sleep
and the little ones might not sleep w/o their fave toy
*Stroller - If you have a compact stroller, you can save quite a bit this way
*Laundry Soap/Softener - If you are doing laundry, bring your soap/softener
home. These are VERY expensive at resorts. Also, putting
a couple of fabric softener sheets in luggage is great tip

I am going to keep checking with this thread to make sure to update my list. If you guys have any other tips... please post. Have a magical day!
