Hi! Welcome! My name is Carrie and this is my second pretrip report. I never got around to doing the actual trip report from the first one, but that's a story for later.

Allow me to introduce the cast of characters for this trip.

Me (41 and a kid at heart). My favorite character is Pluto, but Sulley is a close second. My favorite park is Animal Kingdom. My favorite attraction is Toy Story Mania. My favorite princess is Rapunzel.

My Mom, Ruth, restrasz on here (I get my love of Disney from her). Her favorite character is Mickey Mouse. Her favorite park is Magic Kingdom and her favorite attraction is Soarin'. Her favorite princess is Cinderella.

That's my little sister in the middle. She is a nurse and is able to join us this time since she graduated and passed her boards this spring. She's working right now so I'll have to get back to you with her details.

The Details
We travel the end of November, early December. This year my mom is treating to a night Club Level at the Animal Kingdom Lodge with a Savannah view. That will be our first night and we are just going to enjoy the hotel and club level with the night time safari tour that night. The rest of our stay will be at our favorite resort, Port Orleans French Quarter.

We are staying for 11 days and have made our dining reservations. We worked on them some more today just to shore it all up.

A bit of a back story
We usually can only do a Disney trip every other year because it takes us that long to save for one. We went in October of 2014 and it was an amazing trip. My brother, sister-in-law and nephew joined us for a few days along with some of our extended family. We made so many memories and had a great time. The entire trip though my mom was freezing and it was not cold at all. She also had a lot of swelling in her legs (more than normal). Well on the bus ride back to the airport she was extra sad to be going home (or so I thought). We got to the airport, unloaded all of our luggage (I'm never flying a non-ME participating airline again) and started towards checkin. I noticed that she was moving really slow and really struggling so I grabbed everything and took off towards the desk. She didn't follow. I knew something was wrong and was trying not to panic. I got us checked in (the lady at the desk had to think I was insane because I was freaking out), grabbed a wheelchair and ran with all our stuff back to where she was. She looked even worse and told me something was wrong. I immediately got help. See she had a MASSIVE heart attack in 2012 so I knew this wasn't good. The airlines across from where we were was amazing and got help immediately. The next thing we knew airport medical and the Orlando medical units were there. They determined she was having a heart attack and took us to Orlando Regional Medical Center. She had a heart cath the next morning and they put in two stents. We ended up staying an extra week. The hospital helped me find a place to stay that was like a Ronald McDonald House for adults. Spirit Airlines was amazing and not only didn't charge us to change our flight but they got us the big, comfy front seats I had paid extra for.
So this trip is a big deal for us and we are so excited. We are doing things a bit different this time like mom seeing her doctor before we leave to get the Ok, building in a rest day and just taking it slow.

So that's a little about us. We are sure to have some funny stories to tell along the way. Can't wait to share this journey with you.
