No, I'm not comparing DCL to another cruise. I have questions concerning comparing two cruises which are not Disney.

We are STILL doing DCL next summer (whenever they post the 2005 dates) but want to do a more affordable cruise for spring break next year.

Our choices are Carnival Elation and Royal Caribbean's Rhapsody of the Seas. I posted on here a few weeks ago, as I asked about Princess. (They're not yet sailing out of Galveston.) I've read excellent reviews about other cruises here, and am eager to read if anyone has sailed either/both of these ships.

Most important, which has more children? Our DD (who will be 10) is an only child and is eager to meet other children. Also, which one has larger rooms? (I know neither has rooms as large as DCL:( ; we'd probably want a room w/a window.) Overall, with whom would you sail and why?

DCL has made cruising our favorite type of vacation, but having the $$ to do it twice as year is not possible. We'll save Disney for our last vacation ('best for last') each summer instead.:D

White I've never sailed either of those ships, I can direct you to http://www.cruisestateroom.com/ . You can chose the exact ship, and read all about the square footage of the cabins and see a room layout of the different classes on each ship.

One note, when comparing staterooms that have balconies some companies state the square footage including balcony and some state the room square footage and the balcony square footage separate.
