Another NHL thread: Let's Go Buff-a-lo!!!

I like the 300 level, you see better and the crowds seem much more fun. Ok well that is what I keep telling myself. :lmao: I did sit in the club level once, it is a completely different game viewing experience.

It's going to be a great game and if it didn't mean leaving my kids on easter I would definitely be there. They are 4 and 6 they won't remember if I ditch them will they? :confused3

I agree, it's fun to be in an energetic atmostphere like the 300 level, especially at a playoff game. I really do feel like you get a great overview of the ice from up there too. And it helps that we are on the side where the Sabres shoot twice.

As far as your kids go, when they get a little older they will probably be mad you didn't take them!! :lmao:

Pommer is out for tomorrow :(

That was such a strange injury. He was in the corner and I guess took a skate blade to the shin, but then he started skating hard and he looked fine, till he looked down and skated off. I guess he didn't realize he was injured until he either felt it, or could feel blood running down his leg. :confused3

If the tickets weren't so darn expensive I would take them for sure. If only I had an extra $500 laying around.

I know what you mean. I hesitated before buying the tickets too, because we are going to WDW in three weeks. But we are DVC members, so the villa is being paid for on points, we have APs, so we don't need to buy park tickets, and the airfare is already paid for. So basically, I rationalized and justified going to the game!!

That's the way I understood it, too. Creepy. Although at least it wasn't an artery :scared1:

Hopefully we get Derek back next series. I miss him. Roysie is my boysie ♥

That is how I do it too...we are also DVC members.

And it looks like I am now going to the game. My MIL just called and asked it I wouldn't mind going..she says her leg hurts but I really think she just doesn't want to go since she was supposed to go to Monday's and backed out from that one last minute too.

I stayed up until the end of regular play and went to sleep- man did I miss the winning goal or what?:lmao::lmao:

Well I'm sure it won't break your heart to take her ticket. :thumbsup2 I took my mom to a game last month, and I could tell she really didn't want to go, but didn't want to disapoint my brother and I.

Well you have no excuse tomorrow to not stay awake. Make a fresh pot of coffee if you start getting drowsy!! :rotfl2:

I saw him last summer at The Cheesecake Factory at the Galleria. He was eating with a couple other guys. I didn't bother him, but then when I met him at the beginning of this season at the red carpet event and had him autograph my jersey, I told him about having seen him at the mall!! :lmao:

"Our father who art in Buffalo, Miller be thy name. Thy save be done. The game be won. On ice, as well as in the stands. Give us this day our hockey sticks, and forgive us our penalties, as we forgive those who cross-check against us. And lead us not into elimination, but deliver us to victory. In the name of the fans, Lord Stanley, and in the name of the Sabres. Amen."

Everyone needs to say this before bed tonight. :)

I'm a Rangers fan but since my team was eliminated, I'm pulling for the Sabres and the Bolts. If one of them doesn't make it to the next round...go Nashville? :confused3:rotfl: I can't really stand any of the other teams in the East.

I actually did not want to go. I have been the jinx of the playoffs and yesterday just made that perfectly clear. So far if I have been there they have lost. If I've watched them on TV they have lost. The game they won in OT my radio in the car died as soon as OT started so I did not hear the winning goal. Guess what I will NOT be doing tomorrow night.

At the start of OT I told my husband I wanted to just go hide in the bathroom and he laughed at me...nope, I was right. :sad2::sad1:

I still have high hopes for tomorrow and hope this team can make a strong effort..no more slacking once they are ahead. Work a little harder in their own end and show some hustle and aggression...just not stupid aggression. Take the game to the Flyers, don't let them take their game to us.

I have been avoiding this thread since that disaster yesterday, but I'm glad you bumped it. Let's hope they have it in them tomorrow night to complete the upset. They had victory in their hands too many times in this series and then let it get away from them. It's amazing that they are still in it, and the only reason they are is that every game in the series Miller has stood on his head while Philly's goaltending hasn't been great.

I hear ya, I can't stand Boston or Pittsburgh, and can only tolerate Montreal. If Buffalo gets eliminated I'll be pulling for Tampa Bay if they are still in it.

I happened to have my back turned or be out of the room for EVERY Sabres goal yesterday. I stayed in the kitchen until my cousins kept bugging me to watch the rest of overtime with them (they are my hockey buddies!). Needless to say, my DH will be watching the game and I will be in my room reading and listening to him so that I know what's going on in the game!

Let's Go Buffalo!

They need to tighten things up in their own end and stop making dumb plays with the puck. I had to pile on the guy, but their have been times where Butler has looked clueless and watching Montador has been an adventure to say the least.

Offensively, they really haven't generated a lot if you think about it. Many of their goals have been flukey or due to bad Philly goaltending. And seriously, did Brad Boyes forget how to score? When is the last time his name has been on the scoresheet? Their late season pickups over the last few years have been complete busts.

Having said all that, I still feel ok about tomorrow night. If they get a lead, they need to find a way to hold onto it, and for once in this series, can they not come out flat to start the second period???

Haha... I've met him a couple times. He's supposed to be playing tomorrow :cool1:

And 7 is our lucky number this year. We have Rick pulling for us. (Although the 7's they have painted on the ice behind each goal distract me terribly. I keep thinking there's something on the ice.)
