another newbie question- 2 contracts?

HI- We should be closing on my 1st contract soon- sent paperwork and money yesterday..Anyway, I saw someone in another contract mentioning transferring points between her main contract and another.. I am consdiering doing an add-on as soon as I am a "member." How does this work? Which contract becomes the main one? The one with more points? How about if they have same number? Also, I thought that if you could get same use year then you could combine those points on a reservation or is this only by a transfer thus not allowing you to transfer/rent points from another member to get more if needed??? Okay, I am now so confused......

If both contracts have the same UY and title, the first contract becomes the master. The add-on will become a sub contract. Points at single resort can be combined at 11 months, if not at same resort, combined at 7 months.

If you add on through Disney, then you will be given the same UY and the new contract will be "added"' to the first one that you own.

Everything will be under one member # and you can use the points together at 11 months for reservations, if they are the same home resort. If not, then you can combine them at 7 months.

Transfers only come in to play if you have contracts with different UY's since those are under different member #'s.

If you decide to add on via another resale, as long as you title it the same way , get the same UY, and let Disney know ahead of time, they will process it under your original member as well.
