another neighbour advice thread :( asbo?

have just spent 40 mins talking to the community police officer, i have to be honest i didnt sleep that well last night, as its been going round in my head, so im a bit emotional this morning.
policeman was lovely, explained that i am not being unreasonable, revving bikes is unneccasary, as is swearing/shouting, at 3pm as well as at 3am.
he says that i have behaved impeccably (thats a first for me) and that the next time it happens i am to call the police and they will deal with it...

when i see mom i will tell her what they have said, and that i will call the police if it continues.
my house, my morgage, my life, they ll just have to accept im in the right on this one

I posted on here last year about our terrible neighbour problems it nearly tore me and my fiancee apart we couldn't stand living here anymore.

After writting to the council a lot we had the council round with sound equipment for a week the neighbour ONLY played his music twice in the week and one only being 2 1/2 hours (other time being 6 hours) and because of that it wasn't enough for them to do any thing about it

Well not the way we wanted it to be sorted but our problem has been sorted the 18 year old lad that lived on his own that was always drunk fighting with his girlfriend in the street her leaving her two year old outside on her own at 2am to go back in and fight (physically), Died in February not in the flat next door though!

Shame you cant choose your neighbours!
Sorry no advice no one would help us so I don't have any experience of help to recommend but I do really feel for you I now cant sleep because its too quiet lol

Well done! You should start to relax now, knowing that the situation is hopefully on its way to a resolution. Personally, I would cease all contact with the neighbour and just call the Police the next time that the noise occurs. They have refused to be reasonable after your previous requests, and are unlikely to be bothered by further warnings from yourself. Just let them deal with the reality of the situation when the Police call around. If you are not speaking to them, then they cannot twist your words to the authorities or imply that it is you who are provoking/harrassing them instead.

Seriousley though bad neighbours must be a nightmare, a friend of ours recently sold his house fort quite a bit less than its true value just to get away from the neighbours from hell - Has hubby not had a word with them sometimes a mans persuassion works a bit better than a womens

dh has two speeds (like a lot of men) on or off, he is stressed because it is stressing me and my autistic son (he hates the noise under his bedroom window)
if he goes out and says something "reasonable" will go out the window...kwim?

im going to let it ride out with time, this morning, they have not revved their engines outside the house, no bikes on pavements and no screaming (yet), so hopefully they have released im not joking (i have spokent to them prob 5 or 5 times before yesterday)

i will be polite, say hello etc, but will not make the effort as i have done in the past.
the trouble is there are 2 younger kids who play with my kids, and i sont want to drag the kids into it, but i dont want them playing round there anymore kwim?

We had neighbours from hell many years ago. He was a 37 year old junkie with screaming girlfriends who stayed every weekend. He had no carpets/furniture in the flat above ours, so the noise was amplified. One weekend they started partying at about 12 and were still at it at 5am. We had gone up and asked them politely to keep the noise down. I am ashamed to say that it was me who flipped in the end. I went and started kicking the door ( I might have threatened them too) I was raging.

I'm not suggesting that this is what you should do, but maybe I could wield a bat with Burt and Nigel? We could get together a Dis posse.

i thought you d be the calm quiet type
when the dad come home legless shouting at 1.50am a few weeks ago, i must confess i did open the window and shout out "are you taking the pSSS or what?"
not the best choice of language (hangs head in shame) but thast the stage i have got too...

so, shall we form a dis posse, we could travel around the counrty and sort out all the dissers problmes!!
maybe we should start a new thread?
