Didn't say or imply that it "would" be a problem...just that it "could"...IF they continue what they have been doing . Well aware of the dining plan changes . Of course everyone has a choice and hopefully my concerns will not become realities, because on this issue I don't want to be right ...however , I am still concerned .
The alcohol was added slowly. WHen BOG offered wine with dinner you would have thought the sky fell in. Wine in the MK????? There will be drunks everywhere!!!! No. MK is family friendly, alcohol is available with dinner at several locations and I have not read any horrific accounts of drunkards running rampant through the MK.
I have not seen any issues at Epcot either, and while I know there are those that over indulge, I have not been subjected to offensive behavior.
You are concerned about something that seems to be a problem for you, but clearly it is not a problem for many. Perhaps consider the mindset of the "audience" and see if that makes a difference. We like all inclusive vacations on occasion. OUr last oen was in December in Aruba, and the resort had two levels of stay. COncierge or regular, the difference in part being the quality of alcohol offered to guests. It was flowing freely at all the bars and lounges throughout the resort, and available for breakfast cocktails upon request. WE had our teenage DGD with us and would never have exposed her to a drunken free for all, and my DD who gets very anxious if there are people who over indulge around would never have tolerated it. No drunken brawls, no people tossing it up in the shrubery. No obnoxious behavior. Not one time during the entire week.
WE researched before booking this resort and activites in order to get a feel for the dynamic. WE did not want a "party" atmosphere, not on the boats, not in the resort, and not on the beach, but we did want free access to food and beverages. DO you not think people who are in DIsney are there for the experience, rather than a booze filled party? You will always run into the person who cannot control the drinking or what is worse for me, the smoking, but that is anywhere you go, and "legal" access to alcohol is not a consideration for them. I suggest you reserve your "opinion" and see if you are right.
Personally, I think that Disney should add a restaurant or two that is adult only (other than Victoria and Albert). I am all for Disney being a family place. We've done it several times with our children. Although they are a bit older now, the youngest was 9 when we started going. We have done Disney as a mom and dad trip. I know we aren't the only ones. I think it would be nice to have a place, or two, where adults could go and be surrounded by adults only for dinner. Just a little off topic but throwing my 2 cents in.
Oh my gosh! That would send peopple through the roof! I have no problems if there are areas that are adult only, and if I had the kids with me I woudl just choose to go elsewhere, however there are those who want their little ones to be welcomed in every establishment. I bet an adults only resort would be a wonderful respite for those who traveled without kids, especially parents who left their little darlings at home for a change. But in DIsney that woudl be almost dead before it was announces.
