Another Middle Name ??? (but a bit different)

DD does love that she gets to pick out the name. She has decided that the name will be a secret until the baby arrives. Driving my DM crazy and she is always trying to trick her into telling or guessing.

I think I might do the same with my 2 girls. They are being adopted at the same time but are not biologically related. It would be a way to add a "connection" between them. I also want to keep their birth names as middle names and maybe add a family name too. By the time I'm done they might have 3 or 4 middle names!

My younger brother and sisters all have the same middle name... Polychroni Translate that to english and it means Paul.

Just my two cents............I think with all the lovely names out there you would not be able to give each child different names. oh well, you do what you feel you want and need to do..........

Growing up there was a family we knew that had 6 girls and named them all the same FIRST name, Mary. They were very religious. They all went by their middle name. ex. Mary Veronica was called Ronni.

I have never known anyone to do that, and frankly, never thought of it before. But I see no reason why you shouldn't if that is what you want. Like others have said it has special meaning and it will be an additional bond your daughters would share.

On a side note when I was growing up I knew of two sisters who were Lynn Lori and Lori Lynn. Just another twist to the equation.

MY DS and DD both have the same middle name, so obviously I think it's a great idea! Your daughter sounds so sweet and like there is already a bond there with her new sister. Congratulations to you!
