Yeah we were originally training it from DC to Philly to NYC but cracked it with amtrak so decided to fly from DC to Buffalo then to NYC. We're only in Niagara Falls for two nights - a night and a half now.

We also love southwest but they stopped their direct flights from DC to Buffalo from memory but I'm unsure why i didnt book them for this flight but I thought i had a direct flight oroginally before delta changed it a million times. We flew to NOLA and DC with southwest for about 100 pp which is mega cheap.

Delta have slightly redeemed themselves by bringing out subway, drinks, and snacks so the kids are now fed lol

Kids are always into holidays and especially skipping school lol. I'm fortunate that they're all such good travelers, sure they have minor meltdowns on occasion but on the whole are into anything new. They impressed the people next to us in the cruise dining room by only using the main menu and trying escargot and other horrible cruise food

Flight delays are awful. You wait, wait, and wait...you keep it together for just another few hours/minutes...then they pull the *(&^* rug out from under you
I'm sorry to hear this. Nobody wants to spend their vacation time this way.

Greetings from the frozen tundra. It's cold, snowing, and I'm taking a break from the laundry. Fun, fun, fun.
We continue to work on our move, two months from now hopefully our movers should be here. Time is going pretty quickly.

How is everyone in ALDIO land? Hope your holiday preparations are going well. This is that busy time of year!

Never had one, sure sounds like a good idea. I love not having to go anywhere when it's cold unless it's for food or booze.

I went out yesterday to mail a few things and pick up some essentials at the grocery. If you're stuck in the house, it's nice to know there are some adult beverages available.

It's 4 degrees this morning. Our heat seems to never stop. Good thing we're on the budget plan! Have a snowstorm coming this weekend so stocked up yesterday on food and rum.

My car came with one, but I don't know how to use it! I've set it off twice by accident, but cannot seem to do it right when I'm trying to. What do you push, and what do you do with the keys once you get out there?

Its been in the 80s here every day. Tomorrow is supposed to be a chilly 77, then back to the 80s we go. It's impossible to get in the Christmas spirit, when it's that warm. Cold weather causes even more pain for me, so I'll take the heat. I do miss the Christmas feel in the air like we had in NC though.

We are pretty cold here - at least for us. The high is 34, but the windchill is dropping the feels like by about 10 degrees. Crazy thing is starting tomorrow morning, the temps will start to rise and keep rising all day and night until we hit 70 on Saturday. Then we start to plummet again to 13 overnight Saturday. We're supposed to have storms with this, so I'm hoping for no tornadoes. Kitty34, 4 degrees sounds awful! Sometimes the south is good for something, I guess. TarheelMJfan, enjoy that chilly 77!

Thanks. I plan on enjoying it fully. I've been melting outside this week. It's been really muggy until today. Fingers crossed for no tornadoes coming your way.
