Another in(s)ane moment with Q

You know how people go up to the chests in the treasure room and say "YoHoBronze!" or "YoHoSilver!"? Lately I've been getting empty chests for most of my keys so in expectation of another empty, I walked up to the gold chest and said, "Yoho empty!" then double clicked on the gold key pin. The funny thing is, I got a prize and it wasn't salad magic!

The funnier thing is, someone else walked up to the gold chest and said, "Yoho empty!" and stood there as if they expected something to happen.

Earlier, I was playing pirates with Caribbean_Gal and lost her - so I went to my friends list to see where she might be and I see her in "Pirates attack Cinderella" room that totally hit my funny bone. A picture of a teensy Cinderella being hung over the edge of one of those little islands amongst a great ship battle in the Pirate game popped into my head...

Thanks everyone! This bit if levity came on the tail of one of the worst days of my life. I don't want to give too many details here but we had our family Christmas party at my mother's and father's house yesterday and it ended very badly. I had to call 911 to prevent my violent brother from harming me.

I'm okay, no injuries however, I'm just sick with remorse from being part of the incident that ruined the Christmas party. I'm not sorry one bit for defending myself or calling 911 though, even though there was a possibility I could have been arrested for biting my brother's hand when he tried to grab my face/throat area. The situation was defused, the police consulted the County Attorney for advice on whether to arrest either of us (or even my sister because she tried to take the phone away from me to prevent me from calling 911), after they had my brother leave the scene I was able to say goodbye to my parents, apologize to everyone who was still there and then leave for home.

I can't recall a Christmas in the past 10 - 20 years where my brother hasn't spoiled the day by having a violent verbal confrontation with somebody, usually his wife or his children. Apparently he had had several confrontations with various family members yesterday that I was unaware of, I just ended up being the target of his rage because I stood up to him and refused to let him abuse me in any way. There is much, much more to this story than I have presented here.

Thank you all for listening and appreciating my silly moment in the treasure room! I really need friends, support and hugs right now.

You have it from me, Q! I have always dreaded "family" holidays for similar reasons. Aren't you glad we have VMK to vent our "silly sides"? Will hug you in person soon!

There's really nothing to say except I am happy you are physically ok. Give yourself time to "come down" emotionally. And of course vmk is a good place to escape from it all.

Oh Q! I am so VERY glad you are physically okay. What is it with our New England families? The emotional worst always happens!

I have not attended a family get-together in several years for the same reasons. Most certainly not holiday gatherings! I finally had to say, let them think me a party-pooper rather than put up with the confrontations.

girl friend. Maybe you and I should get "our" immediate families together for holidays since we are so close. At least we'd have nothing to fight over, and could actually "celebrate"!

I am so sorry you had to go through all that, and I know how long those emotional scars are going to last. PLEASE, my friend, take the time necessary to recover emotionally from this day!

Thank you! I know I can always count on my DIS and VMK friends! I am actually doing quite well considering everything. I cry a lot but that's it. One really not funny thing that makes me laugh is, my brother called me a bunch of very vile names then said I was the reason he didn't even want to be there. Then why did he come? My mother almost didn't have the party this year due to his terrible behavior last year. I missed that outburst but apparently he reamed my mother out when they were outside having a cigarette together. Then she thought maybe she could have the party but not invite him but she was afraid he would pull a nutty over that. I told her to go ahead and invite him and let him decide whether or not to come. I'm guessing she talked to my other brothers and sisters about all of that too? So it seems to me that we all would have understood (and probably been relieved) if he had chosen not to attend the party yet he seems to believe he was forced to attend?

Right now my VMK time is being spent earning credits for the give a gift thing. I'd like to earn enough credits to give out about 100 gifts! I probably have enough credits among my various characters but I'm trying to do it with one account.

In the meantime, I'm earning credits on my other characters to buy lots and lots of the new holiday items. I still need to buy yellow candy canes and red candy canes. Then I'm working on the sleigh chairs, yellow dreidel chairs and a few more blue dreidel chairs. If I have time or credits, I may buy more of the items from last year. Oh, I forgot, I'm buying new pins when they are released too. You know, that sounds so much more intimidating when I see it written down! No wonder I've been so tired lately! Looks like I'll be playing a lot of VMK this week!

Those kinds of people (sorry to say) always blame others for whatever problems they may be having or may have had. And personally, I don't know why anyone would want to be around someone like him or want to make excuses for them.

Anyways. I know how it is with the earning credits. I've been sitting here sending presents. Twenty so far.

No, it was not me who got the tag fairy to put it on.. but I will happily admit I helped come up with it! I was asked to "consult" on yours. When I heard what was being thought of for you, I pointed out maybe something to do with the shoes and cups might be funnier, and the person who is responsible came up with the exact wording!

I laughed so hysterically back then, as well as when I saw "our" new tags! (Yes I was granted one too by this same person, and love what they came up with for me!) But yours, and the precise way it was worded is just SO YOU!! you gf!
