Another I need your opinions poll

ok- last week you were all a HUGE help in planning our first day- now I have another quick poll for you.......

My son LOVES Mickey, my daughter LOVES Minnie- however since CM was impossible to get we booked TH 8:20am Safari Breakfast as a substitute since my daughter (and hubby) also loves Donald.

Guess what? I just got Chef Mickeys for the night before we are going to Tusker Safari- Would you keep both? Also, Chef Mickeys is taking the place of Kona- We could add back Kona if we get rid of Ohana dinner....

Here's how the days in question:

Saturday: Arrival day (MK) 5:05 ADR at Ohana (could do Kona instead)

Monday: (MK) 8:05amADR CP (keeping no matter what), 6:30pmADR Kona OR 7:30pmADR Chef Mickey

Tuesday: (AK) 8:20ADR Donald Safari

As usual, I love reading your comments and advice!

I should add-

My kids are 4 and almost 2 and both LOVE the characters- with Mickey, Minnie and Donald as favorites

Other reservations include

Dinner at Le Cellier
Dinner at Boma

I voted No Chef Mickey's and here's a few reasons why...

1. I have heard from friends and family that Chef Mickey's was really going downhill lately. Take that for what it's worth (I take it with a grain of salt...if I want to try something, I'll go there!)

2. Donald's Safari was great! Mickey, Donald, Daisy and Goofy dressed up in cute Safari gear! Sooo much fun!

3. You get an early start at AK, which if that is the park you are going to that day, should help make the decision. The animals are far more active in the morning time, and Tusker House if very close to the Safari!

Chef Mickeys for dinner is not good. However food at Tusker House, Kona and Ohana is great! I say don't bother with CM unless you do it for breakfast one day.

My family would kill me if we didn't do Ohana, I'd like to try Kona, and we've done both CM and TH and of the two I preferred CM. The food wasn't great at either (both breakfasts, to be fair) and CM was more fun. So I voted keep CM and dump TH.

I voted no Kona, even though the food is fabulous (it was the only restaurant we did twice on our last trip) My reasoning is because let's not forget that these vacations are for the kids, really. They grow up too fast, and chances are you will be able to go back again one day when they are older and do more 'adult' meals (meaning no characters). It may be the only chance to get close to Minnie! Also, may I add that my teens really enjoyed Kona but didn't really like Le Cellier? Kona has a totally awesome ice-cream dessert. Then again, my kids were 13 and 15 so probably not relevant. Have a fabulous trip!

I think you have to decide if you want good food or character interaction Monday night. CM is a lot of fun, but I don't particularly care for the buffet food as much. Kona is yummy, IMO! They have a really fun ice cream sundae for the kids that has a waffle cone if ice cream with a skewer of cotton candy sticking out. Other than that, not much fun for the little ones. I would keep OHana the 1st night b/c it is fun for the kids. HTH!

CM was a HUGE disappointment. I mean, at the time I didn't think about it too much cuz we were at DISNEY! But looking back, definitely the worst meal of the trip. O'Hana is INCREDIBLE!

ok- if we drop Kona, at least we have Le Cellier for us right? Maybe after our afternoon at DTD we can take the bus to Poly and eat dinner at Kona instead-
