Which Disney resort has the best transportation. I realize that they all have Disney transportation busses (or boats) but it seems like some resorts are on a loop with other resorts.

For example, I would say POFQ is better than POR in transportation. While they're on the same loop, POFQ gets dropped off first, and picked up first.

We're looking to try a new resort next time (other than POFQ) and we want to pick a resort with excellent transportation (ie, not having to walk far to get to the bus stop, not having to take an inter-resort bus, etc). It'd be nice if we found a resort that either isn't in a loop, or is at the beginning of the loop.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

AKL-dedicated buses, the bus stop at the resort isn't very far from the main lobby and most of the stops at the parks seem close to the exit. It doesn't take any longer to get from AKL to any of the parks because you aren't stopping at any other resorts. Also, the buses are not that crowded. In June we had ONE trip on a bus that a few people had to stand otherwise there were enough seats for everyone.

we were quite pleased w/pop century's transportation... the buses were frequent and efficient and did not share w/any other resort... there was only one bus stop for the entire resort and it was never uncomfortably crowded (imo)... the only downside is that the bus stop is one of the furthest from the gates at the parks...

i don't know much about deluxe resort transport 'cept for AKL and we found it to be disappointing, w/long waits (and long rides!) everywhere we wanted to go... one night we waited sooooo long for a MK bus that we finally took a cab (to the tune of $25 + tip!)

consider BC, YC or BW as you can walk or boat to 2 parks.

The buses are a little hit and miss - the route sometimes has 5 stops and sometimes 2 or 3

Just a thought: The Polynessian is not only a monorail resort, many of the longhouses are an easy walk to the TTC.

CSR has great transportation and is centrally located to the parks. It only has 4 bus stops that are central to each village. and one at the main building.

I had the same type of experience as GolfGal at AKL, never having a problem. I never thought the ride to any park was too long and I was never waiting for a bus longer than 5-10 minuted and I went in Aug. I was very pleased and would stay there again.

I think the best transportation options are at the Poly--you have the boat launches to the MK (which I LOVE), the monorail, a short walk to TTC for plenty more options (Epcot monorail, big ferry to MK, buses anywhere). But it depends on which parks you want to be close to. The Epcot resorts have pretty good transportation options too (It might just be me, but I LOVE taking water transportation at WDW, just makes me really feel like I'm on a vacation somehow). You have boat transportation, plus Epcot is in walking distance, and buses to AK and MK (though many complain that these buses take a long time...haven't had that experience myself because we always resort hop and stay next to the park we're visiting for the time being). Anyway...overall, I'd say the Poly :flower:
