As I am (im)patiently waiting for AP discounts to come out I have a good idea of which resorts are going to be in my budget.

Staying 8/31-9/4. This is our 2nd time as AP holders so we do come every couple of months for a weekend stay but it is pretty park heavy. We do have a POR stay scheduled for Memorial weekend. I really want to try and slow things down so it's relaxing which means a good pool is a requirement. Now we have a 4 year old and a 2 year old. I really liked the type of splash area that WL and CB offer. Also with traveling with a double stroller good access (without busses) is great (though we don't mind driving)

As of now I have a AKL FD package I am most likely canceling as it just doesn't make sense financially ($2600 and for the most part I should be able to get a RO for around $1000)

So choices:

Swan: Booked at $170 night ( i know about the resort and parking fees too)
WL: I think this is what I'm leaning towards as I like the access to MK and would like to try some things at FW but we have stayed here before and I love trying new things.
Yacht Club: On my bucket list but not sure if the pool area is too overwhelming for my littles but it is F&W so there is easy access.....
Old Key West: There is a chance I could get a 1BR here which is enticing but not sure about the pool or the lack of access to the parks (would be better to stay at POFQ?)
Fort Wilderness: Love the room size but not sure about how spread out everything is especially in August.
Contemporary: might be in my price range but not very excited about it.

Now if Poly or GF ever came even close to what I'm willing to pay I would jump on it but I doubt that will happen.

Where would you stay?

I'd go with either the Yacht Club (can't beat the convenience to Epcot during the F&W) or OKW (with 2 children, the 1 BR, especially with a W/D in your unit, and two TV's) can't be beat. But whatever, you'll get plenty of "helpful" recommendations here, and I'll bet we'll confuse you more than ever!

Hard to beat the location of the Yacht Club especially when it is hot --easy to get back to swim and have down time during F&W. The Boardwalk is also fun at night and you can see easily see the fireworks at Epcot if you are too tired to walk back... We love Wilderness Lodge- you can take the watercraft to MK or get off at Contemporary and hop on the monorail to Epcot. Will you have a car?
So ---I think Yacht Club!

If you're wanting a more low-key, not so much in the parks trip, then I'd probably go with WL with the ages of your kids. While if it were me I'd stay at Yacht Club for sure, I do think the pool area would be better for your group at WL, plus having easy access to FW to do more non-park things would be a bonus.
