Another hair/makeup dilemma

Ok ladies, I need your opinions.

I had booked hair and makeup for myself, my mom, DF's mom, DF's SIL, and my MOH. When I initially inquired about their prices I had asked if there was an extra charge for them to come early since we're doing the MK photos that morning and I was told there wasn't. As soon as I was ready to book, all of a sudden there was a $50 fee. I totally understand this, but I don't appreciate being told one thing and then having them try to charge me.

Anyway, they said they would waive it since I was told there wasn't a fee.

I was told that they would come at 4am to do my hair and makeup, and then they would start on everyone else at 6am.

I recently wrote to them because I had to switch some things around with my MOH and see if they could start on her at 10am, due to some mobility issues. I just received a reply saying that they could do this, but then they also confirmed the WRONG number of people having hair/makeup done and now they're saying that they'll start on everyone else at 5:30am instead of 6.

I know a half hour isn't a big deal, and maybe I'm freaking out for nothing, but I have a bad feeling about this company and kind of want to look for someone else instead. I haven't paid a deposit or anything, so would it be wrong for me to look for someone else and then cancel with them if I find someone?

They seem so disorganized and I'm scared that something else is going to go wrong even though I know they come so highly recommended on here. What would you do??

The disorganization thing would bother me too. Maybe you could call another company/person and see if they have availability, *then* cancel with your original company if you need to (obviously don't cancel first because then you'll be stuck with no hair and makeup help at all! ). You have enough stuff to worry about; continually checking on the details is going to be pretty stressful, I would think.

I used Ana from makeovermajic.com, if that helps. She was very nice, very friendly, and very efficient. Was pretty chatty and made me nervous we were going to run late, but she was fantastic and got me done in record time! If you check her web site, she runs specials from time to time too.

Oh, by the way, I missed it when you posted the pics of you in your new gown. It's so cute and you look really happy in it. I think you definitely made a great choice.

I had actually really wanted to use Anna from Makeover Majic, but she wasn't available for my date so I went with this other company instead.

I've just sent out emails to every single company listed on the cosmetology sheet and am waiting for responses. Hopefully someone else will be available.

Thanks, I love my new dress! I had looked at dresses like that originally but thought I didn't like them. It's really true when everyone says that you should try on a variety of styles because you never know what you will really like
