Another Great Alamo Moment

After making my car reservations 8 months ago on their web site, went to check on line over the weekend and to my surprise found that they cancelled my reservations on their own and if I wanted to make the same reservations it would be $200 more.

After calling them and starting with the Better Business Bureau, Alamo redid the reservations for the orignal price. I wanted to know what gave them the authority to cancel my reservations.

Although I need to add an additional day to the reservations I'm not changing anything now or they will screw that up too!

As anyone added an additional day to their rental while having the car...... did they change you a ton of money more?

We have done that with Hertz and the rate was the same for the additional day.

I have done this, but, it was a few years ago, all they did was charge me the daily rate for the extra day. It was the daily rate shown on the reservation.

Did they tell you why they cancelled the reservation?

They mentioned that one of the operators must have made a mistake with the reservation numbers and cancelled mine instead of someone else's.
