I think I've posted before about my DS14 who has Asperger's and the funny things he comes up with. He's a very matter-of-fact kind of a guy and will sometimes misinterpret what he hears. Last night, he had me in stitches!
At about 10:30 p.m. I was in my room almost asleep. My DH was at chorus rehearsal and wouldn't be home until after 11:00. My DS14 came running down the hall and said, "Mommy! I think there's someone downstairs!" I said, "What exactly did you hear?" He said, "It sounded like someone put the toilet seat up in the bathroom!" I said, "It was probably just the bunnies." He said, "Oh no, the bunnies don't use the toilet!" I said, "I meant they were probably just banging their food dish around." He said, "Oh, good point." And then he trotted back down the hall. I wish he bunnies could learn to use the toilet!!!
