Another Getawaytoday question

I was looking at room rates on GAT and I have read where some have booked rooms only at their website. (Hojos is booked during my dates I'm looking at.) Because they're offering the 5 for 3 deal it keeps telling me that I can't book the hotel only. It allows me to take out the park tickets, but when I go to close the deal I get a message saying I need to add the tix back in. I tried taking it out and adding in a character breakfast instead and it did allow me to do that.

If anyone knows if I can book just the room only, or if you know what the deal is (why I keep getting the message about the park tix) can you let me know?

I dont know, but just wondering since you want room only if you have tried booking directly through the hotel.

The 5 for 3 deal is tickets and hotel room for 5 day tickets/5 nights at a hotel for the price of 3. Did you click where it said the deal? I just tried for August and was able to do just the hotel, but I did not click on the ad for the promotion, just entered my dates and number of people, then removed the park hoppers. What dates are you looking for and how many nights??

I booked through GAT at the end of last year, was able to drop the tickets, and only booked hotel. That was before the 3-5 promotion, though.

Yes, the prices for the hotel I am looking at are cheaper than directly w/ the hotel. That's why I asked on another thread if anyone had ever used Marriott's best rate guarantee. If you book through Marriott and find it cheaper elsewhere, the give you the lower price plus an additional 25% off. Plus GATincludes all taxes in their room rates. All the others charge that after the fact.

I'm looking at June 11-16. Where does it say the deal? I clicked on the planning page where it shows the dates and amount of people going. I would think that a site like GAT would have a room only link so if that's all you want you can get it.

If you go to GAT and on the upper left hand side it says "Where would you like to travel?" and the default is Disneyland. Enter the date you want to go (June 11) and then asks how many nights (5), enter the number of people. If you sort the list alphabetically, Hojo is on page 4. Select that, then remove the park hopper tickets

I'm totally confused. I did exactly as you said. (Went to 'where would you like to travel' and input my info.) When I removed the tickets and then tried to book, I still got the message that I must buy tickets for the room. And then it shows the buttons to remove the room. Which basically means start over again. This is for the Fairfield Inn. Then when I add in a Character meal, it allows me to continue to book. I may just go ahead and book it with the character meal as DS says he wouldn't mind eating at Goofy's again...
