We are booked for a cruise in February and just paid off the balance. if they decide to remove the charge, would we automatically get OBC? Or do we have to contact them and request it?
I"m just asking because if people don't know that this is available, wouldn't they be losing out on a deal?

My family has a cruise booked for May 2010. I occasionally check to see if the price has changed. On Sunday I checked the Disney website, the cruise was $110.00 cheaper and I realized that the fuel supplement was no longer being charged. I called DCL and was told that the fuel supplement was temporarily suspended. As the cruise gets closer, the price of fuel will be assessed and the people who already paid the fuel supplement price would receive an on-board credit of $110.00 for their cruise or the other people will be charged the fuel supplement.

You might want to check this out, but this is what I was told. Have a great day!

one of my problems is that our category is sold out, so i can't even check to see if the price is cheaper.
Looks like I'll have to calll....or just wait till it gets closer..

From what I understand, and this is how it will work for our cruise, DCL will check oil prices in February. If the per barrel price is less than $70, fuel surcharges will be credited to onboard accounts for those sailing during the first quarter. For the second quarter, they will do the same thing.
